with Torrey Smith opening it up, our possession guys will thrive. I also expect Tandon Doss to become a great receiver...just have a funny feeling about him, he's tough as nails, great work ethic, great size, decent speed for a guy who had a fairly serious injury only a couple months ago, and fantastic hands. GO GET IT DOSS!

I just hope that one of the young rookie wide-outs break out into a pro-bowl wide receiver to add to what we already have in Heap, Boldin and Mason...

I'm not sure if Doss Will, as Reed may edge him out PT wise, as the coaches may want to rest him, and also Reed has a better grasp of the playbook and apparently was making eye popping plays at pracy last year. However I think 5 years from now, Torrey Smith, and Doss will make a deadly Duo.

Doss kinda reminds me a little bit of reggie wayne potential wise. Great all around receiver, not great speed, but gets deep via knowledge of the game.

Torrey I'm hoping will become our version of santonio Holmes. A.K.A captain clutch making big plays in big situations.

Hopefully reed breaks out as well giving flacco a three headed monster to grow and develop with for years to come!

I cannot tell you how much I hope you are correct, but you are going to have to get in cams ear and tell him to spread the O out with at least a 4 wide set if you want that to happen. Dare I say a % ad get that monster named James hardy to stretch the field as well.....Gasp.... I have said too much.

I don't see Doss starting from Day 1 or at all this season unless there is an injury. Doss is really just a younger version of Housh and for him to start would mean we have the same thing as last season, or he's taken the spot of Mason or Boldin.

Torrey will definitely be on the field day 1, and I strongly believe Hardy will see just as much action as the #2-#3 option as Torrey Smith. Hardy and Smith will be the depth threats this season. Together they will combine for about 60 catches or so. That's just how I see it.

Not totally far fetched at all, I like it. To be honest though I think Doss is going to be just as pivotal to get on the field early. I think if there was a year where there were no spots given this should be one of them. Torrey will win one out of sheer need, Boldin will because he is the best receiver on the team. Now this is where it gets interesting, i know Mason is Flacco's security blanket but if Flacco wants a target that is easy to throw to how about a guy that is 6'5". Or Tandon Doss who could be just as pivotal as Doss in the future. If Mason outplays them all then I want him on the field if not I want To give one of our young stars in the making on the field to get game time experience.

The reason this is so imperative for me is the fact that this year we could actually run a damn good 4 wide set and a pretty competent 5 wide. I would love to see us light the score boards up and just start hanging 40 + on everybody including the steelers.

A superbowl hopefully. And we definitely have the guys to do it.

Torrey Smith - I see big things in this guys future, Not only does he have all the physical tools but his work ethic is crazy, out of all our rookies he is taking all the steps to be ready to contribute this season. I didn't know much when we drafted him and didn't know what to think. But, as high as I was on the Jimmy Smith pick, Torrey is now my favorite pick of the draft.

Jimmy Smith - It's been said he is a true shutdown corner, and I even heard he was the best cover corner in the draft. We got a steal, my friends. After checking up on him, and our coaches and GM meeting him several times, I am confident his past is in the past.

Sergio Kindle - He's an unknown at this time. If he can return to the form he was at before he got injured, then we are in good hands, the QBs we are facing will be in bad hands though. An excellent pass rusher and run stopper, if all goes well medically, he could start by the end of next season.

Ed Dickson - I really like this guy, he should cause problems for defenses and if we see more of him next season we will like what we see.

Terrence Cody - Got better as the season progressed, and made a key play in our playoff victory over the Chiefs. Now he's in better shape, which was his main concern ever since he entered the draft. Next to Ngata he's gonna be a force.

Joe Flacco - Some say he has broke out already, but year 4 he's gonna show y'all how good he really is. Matt Ryan can have all the credit, Flacco will take his superbowl ring.

Some say how our team, our defense particularly is aging. I see a bunch of young talented guys ready to take over. Even when Ray, Ed and Heap are gone we will still be a strong team.

Oh I feel the very same way. To be honest, and this is no knock on Mase at all, but I think either Tandon Doss or David Reed could give us the same production this year as Mason gave us last season. We making them compete would be ideal.

However, the reason I don't see it happening, is everything will be accelerated this year. We are about a week away from July, and a CBA probably won't be done until 2 weeks before the start of Camp. So with that, the first time guys like Doss, Smith and Hardy will get to actually hit the field with this offense will be in training camp. I gotta believe it will be an adjustment period for these guys.

Now, I feel someone has to take the catches and opportunities that Housh is leaving behind. So I see Smith(speed) and Hardy(size and speed) taking those opportunities.

I actually think David Reed could potentially take some snaps away from Mason this year. I would like to see Doss play a lot, I just don't see it, at least not early.

As for the 4 and 5 wides. I actually think we'll see it often this year. Not only will we see it, but we'll see it with variety. Boldin, Smith, Hardy, Reed, Heap. Dickson, Pitta, Hardy, Doss, Boldin. Smith, Reed, Mason, Rice, Heap. I just think we will be able to mix and match all season.

As I've been saying all offseason, I really see this offense taking off this season, and in order to do that, the young guys will have to 1st get the opportunities, 2nd take advantage of them.

I think Ed wants to exhibit his greed for NFL records. He already holds a few but I think he wants the single season and career ints records. Last year he was just special with 8 picks in 10 games. He could have easily picked off another 4-6 or even 8 more passes. If he starts the season off with a few B-Day(Ed's b-day is ironically 9/11) gifts form big ben he should be poised for a record setting season. The career int record is 81, Ed has 54. He plans to play until he's 35. That gives him 3 seasons to get 28. Any combination of him breaking the single season record and 2 of his normal seasons(7+ints) should make him the alltime ints leader.

sorry for rambling about Ed

One thing of Ed that is unaccounted for is his community involvement and mentoring the rookie Secondary players.
That is primarily the reason that Young Jimmy Smith is going to Flourish in this system because of Chuck P and Ed Reed.
These guys are going to push him to be a better person on and off the field. Then just maybe we maybe able to add another HOf to our history books...

I'm excited for 2011 and beyond! I like the young guys this team is gathering up. I hope they pan out for the most part. Dickson, Pitta, the Smiths, D.Reed, J Reid, Doss, Allen, Art Jones, Mt Cody, Sergio, Oher, and even Joe and Lil Ray still young. I guess I'm excited for the whole team, I just think the youth we have going forward is looking good.
