Anyone else here a member? I absolutely love it, and have actually significantly downgraded my cable programming.

Anyone have some hidden gems or any show you'd recommend?

I'll start off by saying, you have to check out Dexter. It has become my favorite show on TV. Prison Break, Nip/Tuck and Friday Night Lights are some really good ones.

I have Netflix through my Xbox, definitely a good move. The library isn't as expansive as the disc-based option, but it's still huge and has some good shows and movies.

I always thought Star Trek and space shows were pretty lame but I will say you should check out : Battlestar Galactica and Firefly. Battlestar is kinda like Lost.

Also, A good mini series is Sherlock starring Martin Freeman.

Other than that I watch Rescue me (which needs to get updated), South Park and Friday Night LIghts.

Hate Netflix. All the DRM crap means I can't watch it on Linux. Besides, nothing on there you cant get from torrents.

We have it at my house. I love being able to watch things from the Instant Queue anywhere in the house that's synced with it.

I tried watching those shows after a ton of recommendations, but I'm just not much of a Sci-Fi person.

Well I have it through my PS3, but I also signed up for the disc/blu-ray program. Its about $13 a month(combined), which I think is more than fair.

LOVE Netflix. Can watch it anywhere. Just wish they had more "watch instantly" stuff. Pickin's can be slim at times, but it's still worth the $7.00 per month.

Agreed!

One time I had a movie in my instant queue, and not 5 minutes later it was no longer available instantly LOL.

Two British series that are cannot miss are Jekyll and Survivors. Fantastic shows.
[/quote]
I haven't seen those, but you should check out "Luther". The first season only has 6 episodes, but it's definitely worth watching. It's a murder/mystery/cop show starring Idris Elba who you may recognize from "The Wire" and some recent movies like "Thor".

I agree, "Luther" is excellent. It's on it's second series here but it's only 4 episodes. I don't think Elba is that committed to it but agreed due to demand from the first series. It hasn't disappointed after 2 episodes!

Yup, it's on Netflix!

Speaking of TruTV, I was disappointed when I read that Operation Repo was totally fake! They make it look legit, but now I can't watch it knowing they're all acting.

Dude, really? lol. You're gonna be a lawyer, right????? :P

All those theme shows on TrueTV are fake. They take a good idea from a real reality show and ruin it. Everyone they tow is a textbook redneck, naked, or just way over the top to be real.

Storage Wars is another piece of garbage fake.

Hahaha too true. I don't know if I really thought it was real as much as I hoped it was because the truth is stranger than fiction sometimes... they claim Hardcore Pawn is "real" too, but I have my doubts.

I actually like hardcore pawn but when someone starts a fight and gets dragged out and you can see the mic pack on thier rear waist, it's pretty busted.
