Training Camp Not In Westiminster This Year.

So apparently per WNST, Ravens training camp will not be held in Westminster this year.. Maybe that means it will be downtown at the bank? Once the new CBA is announced next week of course..

if they move it to the bank it just wont be the same.

I heard that they want to do some more practices at the Bank, like last year, because it was such a success. But I'd imagine they'll do most of their training in Owings Mills, if they can't do it in Westminster. Stinks because, even though it was a long drive, McDaniel is a nice place.

Got the text that it will be held at the team training facility.

Got the text as well and read the article.

The issue is that there's the logistics of making sure the facilities are ready and moving equipment to/from McDaniel college, along with the hotel making sure it had rooms ready for the players. Since the lockout means the Ravens can't plan for a proper training camp schedule, they thought it was best to keep it at the bank this year.

I thought I saw that it was going to be at Owings Mills, not M&T?

All of this plan for training camp at 1 Winning Drive is, from what I understand, due to agreement uncertainty.

I'll admit I've never been to Westminster, but I would be willing to make the pilgrimage, just because both the Colts and the Ravens have held training camp there.

Kind of a shame, but it is to be expected with so much uncertainty. I know a lot of ppl in Westminster love when the Ravens come to town. It brings some extra business and its fun to see the team minutes from where I used to live. Hopefully its just a 1 year thing and it will be back in 2012.

Definitely gonna be only for this year. But I love going to the Bank. Any reason to go is alright by me. The free admission's a bonus.

I think this very unfair to the many fans, especially the kids. We've gone every year and taken my daughter and niece and last year even took my coworkers kids. They had such a blast. I think this is a BAD idea to keep the fans away. They can I'm sure figure something out so that the fans can watch, especially since many can't afford to go to the games, it gives the kids and us big fans, a chance to see the players in action.

This is true but if them practicing in owings mills helps them get over the lockout time that has been lost, I say oh well. I'd rather the fans lose one year being able to se the team than have us not get the right amount of practice and lose to the steelers week one.
