DLC for LA Noire

My apologies if this has been brought up before.

Just got an a-mail from Rockstar about the new DLC for LA Noire. Has that game even been out 90 days yet? Anyone else notice that games are getting shorter, and they just keep releasing more DLC? If purchased new, and all the DLC purchased when released, you could end up spending $100 - $150 on a game. Not sure if I really like this trend.....

It's worse when the content you're "downloading" is already on the disc, and you're paying for a bit of code to unlock said "downloaded content".

In the case of L.A. Noire, the game was already on multiple discs for the 360, so they couldn't include the Day One DLC without expanding on even more discs. Plus, none of the DLC is particularly integral to the story. This is a rare case where I can forgive the use of DLC expansions, especially since the DLC content adds hours of new gameplay as opposed to a quickie mission.

Had this been a PS3 exclusive, I wouldn't have been so forgiving, particularly since the game didn't fill up that much space on the disc.

All 4 of the DLC cases are fun, in fact "The Naked City" is one of my favorites from the whole game. I was planning on downloading them all anyway so the Rockstar Pass when it was 10 bucks was too good too pass up. I think the price is up to 12 now though...

That's good to know because I also bought the Rockstar Pass when it was $10. I just haven't played and/or downloaded any of the DLC yet because I got sidetracked by other games.

Yeah, I think they're all worth it if you got the pass when it was $10, they were charging 3.99 for each on their own in the PS Store.

I'm a little disappointed that is all they are planning to release, supposedly they had two more full crime desks, Burglary and Fraud/Bunco, completed for the game and I was hoping to see them released too. I guess when the 360 version comes on 4 discs it would be hard to cram anything else onto the one blu-ray for the PS3.

I still got a code for the Naked City/Badge Pursuit Challenge DLC for the PS3 if anyone wants it? It came with my copy of the game which I sold on before the PSN was back online.

Edit - On second thought it may be a region locked code only redeemable on the European Store. But it's worth a try if anyone wants it!
