rays summer days

i just have a question! did anyone on here go to the rays summer days event! i read a touching article on the seahawks message board from a fan that went and talked about how down to earth ray is and everything, and ray is down to earth, big time! i am just wondering if anyone here went, or met ray there, please share your experience and pics if there are any!

i havent gone, though i have met Ray before (once) back in '03 at a Ravens dinner.....though we couldnt talk with him or get pictures with him, he had a table with all his agents and ppl around him, they told my mom just to take a picture and keep moving

i really wish i could meet/talk with him face to face though

I've met Ray and a handful of the other current/former Ravens (Ed Reed, AD, Mulitalo, McNair to name a few)a couple of times. Ray was VERY nice but for the most part he does kinda come off as the larger than life character he is. A lot of it is he's just so busy and so many people want his time and attention at any given moment. Personally my favorite so far has been Ed. He'll take time and sit and just BS w/ ya.

I didn't go this year, but I went last year and had a blast!!! I found Ray very friendly, but very busy. He took the time to pose with anyone asking for a picture. I had a tough time getting my sister's camera to work properly and she began to taunt me and Ray joined in (at my expense). It was a good laugh. My then 5 yr old son got his autograph at Ray's restaurant and he was much more hospitable and friendly with my son. I get the feeling he's more guarded around adults, but it's easy to understand why. Last year's Summer Days debut the ESPN piece on Ray's trip to Africa. He was humbled by the trip and by the support the event received. It was easy to see how affected he was. If I could figure out how to put a picture in here, I would! Sorry. My favorite pic of the evening was my sister and I with Steve McNair on his first day in Baltimore, the day he passed his physical and became a Raven.

that was a good one falls point raven! i still can't stop laughing! i would just love to sit and talk with kelly though, he seems like such a wonderful and warm, easy going guy! if anyone has met the dude, please tell me about it!

just feeling the fever for both of my favorate teams! i created my own ravens fever wagon, its all pimped up to, with spinning rims the works! heehehehee!
