Where is E3 going to be held?
I believe it's in LA.

I'll watch the Microsoft press conference and maybe the Sony one, but other than that I don't care. I don't follow E3 as much as I used to because it's all just hype with a few cool looking announcement bids. I am hoping to see Bungie reveal a new title, but I'm not sure that's happening. I also wouldn't mind seeing a Mass Effect 3 trailer.

Syphon Filter 4! I seriously hope the rumors are true.

Also, I want to see some more Battlefield and the release date.

Elder Scrolls 5 and Mass Effect 3 are what I'll be looking for.
For sure, I'm dying for more ME3 information.

Oh, and I'm curious to see what other PSP games will be released for the PS3 with Sony Remastered series. Persona games please, Sony.

LOL, all I've really seen is that one trailer. I'm been hoping that one of Shepard's kids shows up... I didn't do all that messing around for nothing!

I'll be waiting to hear from Square-Enix, Sega, Sony and Microsoft.

Please, Sega, please give us Shenmue 3.
While I highly doubt there'll be a Shenmue 3, if there is an announcement, I bet that it's nothing but a title card. No gameplay footage or anything. If they announce it, we're a long ways away from a likely release date since there's been no tangible news on a development team or casting for voice-acting, etc.

I second that, love ME and they haven't shown much of the third one yet.

Elders Scroll 5 Skyrim sounds awesome from what I've heard of it so far.

Wonder what ijji's gonna have, if its not Huxley for the US than I give up on them. Also if Square Enix is making another Final Fantasy, I hope it is better than 12 and 13. I lost interest in both of them real quickly.

Edit: Just notice IGN has alot of new stuff on ME3 on thier site now.

Yu Suzuki has been talking about Shenmue 3 lately, but I'll even take Shenmue being released on Xbox Live at this point. If they did announce it, I don't care if it's just a title card, I just need that little glimmer of hope on the horizon... that I may once again journey alongside Ryo through Japan or Hong Kong...

IGN have recently played a demo of ME3. Here's an article about it... My link

And here's another article with more details on the ME3 story... My link

Both published yesterday. :)

I don't really pay close attention to the companies that are putting out the games. I just want info about the games themselves that I'm looking forward to. Skyrim, Battlefield 3, Uncharted 3, Gears of War 3, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Madden 12, etc. (soooo many games that are looking good lol)

I miss Final Fantasy Tactics. I just loaded it on my Droid so I can get nostalgic. :(

You're right, though, action RPGs are getting a bit tiresome. I miss the days when RPGs were charming and had a good story and you could relax while playing them. I miss turn-based combat and having combat be optional in your experience.

While open-world RPGs are a great idea in concept, most of them fall into the trap of getting boring once you've done just about everything you wanted to do. I miss those games where you could build your own headquarters (Suikoden series) or just travel and become a hunter/merchant (FF Tactics).

yeah , last remnant is like the last Turnbased RPG I got ahold of , complex thought so much more could have been done . one of my favorite series went from TB to action this year so I wont buy it thats Front Mission. people need to remember simpler yet more complex times cause it was all about thinking strategicly rather then thinking fast

I hate RPGs these days because you're always rushed. I liked doing things at my own pace back in the day. If I didn't want to fight, I didn't have to unless it was a random battle, and even those battles went by quickly and always at your own pace.

Also, most RPGs these days are more focused on giving you flashy setpieces or lots of action. There's rarely an emotional investment. Most games (not just RPGs) are missing the charm of yesteryear, hence why the nostalgia factor isn't the same as with older games from even the late '90s.

Microsoft's press conference was pretty lackluster. It was all about the Kinect which was to be expected but they nearly went away from the hardcore gamers.

However, Games like Halo Combat Evolved Remastered, Gears of War 3, and the announcement of Halo 4(Announced as the start of a new trilogy) for 2012 solidified me getting a 360 in the next couple of months. I guess I'll have fun with Dance Central 2 since my mom wants the Kinect. lol

It was more boring than last years I thought, with so much Kinect emphasis. It seems like they're going to throw a Kinect gimmick in every game now, even Mass Effect 3.

I heard Halo Anniversery was coming, and I will definitely be picking it up even though I still have my copy of the original. I think Halo: CE is one of the top five games of all time, so I won't mind playing through a remastered version of the campaign. Halo 4 was the real bombshell though, to say I'm excited that they're bringing back Master Chief would be an understatement. After the travesty that was the Halo Reach campaign (if you know the Halo back story many of its numerous plot holes and problems were obvious), I'm hoping the new studio can save the series. Bungie's last outing in the Halo universe was a piss-poor outing from an otherwise flawless studio.

It's good to see Microsoft continuing to milk Halo for all it's worth. Halo 4. A new trilogy. *yawn* But then again I hated Halo from the first one, one of the most overrated series ever.

Just like last year, UbiSoft put on another snoozefest of a presser. The only highlights of their entire presentation were Ghost Recon, Far Cry 3, and Assassin's Creed.

Sony's Press Conference wasn't as bad as Microsoft's but it still failed. Showed nothing new. I expect Nintendo to take E3 this year.

However, I do plan on purchasing the Playstation Vita(NGP). For a price of $249 and to get all those features(including cross game chat), you can't go wrong. The graphics on that handheld were absolutely amazing. Guess Sony finally learned they can't price their products at astronomical prices just because it's top of the line technology.

Also, I'll be purchasing Battlefield 3 on the PS3 to get Battlefield 1943. It's a great extra.

Is it bad that I don't care about Nintendo anymore? I don't think their new Wii U is the thing that will get the hardcore segment interested in them again, it's another thing they made to appeal to casuals. I might pick up Zelda: Skyward Sword, but outside of that there wasn't anything for me to get excited about.
