53 To 56 Man Roster?

It appears that since the lock out is dragging on there are talks of expanding the roster maximum to 56. This would also increase how many players can dress for a game by 3.

I agree. I think this will help out the UDFAs find a place this year. Ugh this freaking lockout needs to end!

Great Move now, and something they should put in the new CBA, 53 was just too short and going to 56 now and in the future under the new CBA would be good for the league.

That would be awesome. Now teams who draft well, like us, can take better advantage of their depth on gameday.

They thinking of expanding the roster because with the lockout teams aren't able to look at their rookies and see what they have so by making a few extra spots available they can keep their guys and not have to waste a draft pick or cut a veteran and keep the draft pick. Without really knowing what they have in that particular player.
