Football Combo Pack

10 posts in this topic

discussing with my wife the other day about the price of madden and ncaa football, we came up with an idea why doesnt in september EA come out with a MADDEN/NCAA Combo pack both games for say 80 bux . think about it, they shave 40 off and bam you got a selling point those who want both get both a week or 2 late after initial sales are out . the poorer gamers would beable to not have to buy Used games a year after they come out . anyone else feel me on this one?

That would definitely be a cool option to have. Of course, I highly doubt that EA would do that though because they want all the money they can get from both games i.e. they want people to pay 60 bucks for each. I think that if they had something like that though then it could actually increase their sales for both games. Not everyone buys NCAA Football and vice-versa for Madden so maybe if they had a combo pack then they could get people to buy both games who normally wouldn't.

The combo pack, in the long run, would actually be the most attractive way to market both games. The standalone titles, in theory, could stay at full retail prices for the first two months before the customary reductions begin; those standalone titles would be for those fans who don't want both. For an extra $20, fans would get added value, particularly if EA Sports wants to push this idea of a persistent player identity across all titles.

Furthermore, EA would make a killing during the holiday season since there'd be the perception that you're getting more for less.

I could see them also throwing NFL Head Coach in there and increasing it to 100. I've never played NFL Head Coach, and personally I think I might prefer the first option, but considering the little amount of people that buy the game that would certainly increase sales for EA.

I wouldn't buy the combo pack because I'm not a fan of NCAA, but it is still a good marketing idea. EA is greedy, but I could see them knocking ten bucks off each game and selling the pack for $100.

They wouldnt do two games cause then it "lessens" the value of the game.. U gotta incorporate another facet of ea or the game itself... Thats why new games just do downloadable content.. Its cheap and they dont lose any money
