I hope people understand, that there isn't a gun to their head, forcing them to buy it. I'll be getting it, mainly because that's what I have the best time with friends playing. I'll get Battlefield 3 as well, but It's always been too slow for my speed junkie needs.

And there are quite a few additions to this game that look amazing and appeal to me, such as Gun Game coming back, new spec ops mode, "Halo game mode ripoffs" (which are very fun game modes). Would this all be a great DLC for MW2? sure. But a new weapon upgrading system makes it look a bit more in depth. When I say in depth, I mean unbalanced as all hell. At least Treyarch had patches every 2 weeks for their broken game, and IW would just leave the community to complain about the hacking, glitches, etc...

Wait... I'm a COD supporter, yet... I see negative aspects to the games? Have I broken my magic internet discussion box?

BF i feel is more in depth, graphics are tons better, gameplay is fun, and for lack of a better term.. more intelligent, requires some sort of teamwork, has vehicles. I do agree sometimes I do wish it was more fast paced, but it is what it is. I will be getting BF3.

I get what you're saying. I'm such a lone wolf doo doo head. That's most likely another reason I like COD. Even on Team Deathmatch, you don't really need to rely on your team if you can rack up good kill streaks. I played my fair share of Battlefield 2 and Bad Company 2, but couldn't get into the depth it offered. The graphics on Battlefield 3 look so superior, though. They have that going for them (as far as keeping my interest, I mean c'mon, it looks amazing!).

Oh and by the way, if it isn't Halo, me no gusta vehicles.

don't get me wrong every once in a while i like feeling like a super hero too. BC2 I find conquest to be boring, but rush... that is pretty fast paced and alot of killing, just w/o super human abilities. yeah, the graphics and sounds will blow Call of Duty's out of the water.... (come on no fanboy can argue that)

I feel like vehicles add a whole new factor to the game, I mean getting a 5 kill streak is awesome, but blowing up 2 tanks simultaneously makes things a little bit more interesting, or sniping a helicopter vs 4 or 5 people. just seems like more bragging rights and a way to turn the tide of the fight at any point.... it makes the game feel more like a warzone i guess.

LOL all the trash talk on mw3 is awesome. Yes its like a MW2 map pack, and yes the battlefield 3 graphics look better. But in case you didnt know, all the gameplay of Battlefield 3 has been off the PC version, or at least thats what I've heard.

I dont get all the hype over battlefield to be honest. It doesn't excite me that much that i can "blow up a building or drive a tank". I'm not bashing the game, CoD is just my preference (well actually Halo is my preference, but halo 4 isnt till 2012 ).

as per who, i heard the CoD president say something like that... but how else is he gonna be able to give a reason why people should buy his game, the graphics go to battlefield 3, the sound go to battlefield 3, the gameplay go to battlefield 3 (in the videos), the spending $60 to get the game you already have go to Modern Warfare 3

haha thats the thing, everyone says about the 12 year olds camping. Why does everyone assume 12-14 year olds are the only people who play CoD? And besides, if you're good enough at CoD, you can take care of those kids running around with red dot shotty's or dual wielding crap.

LOL i laugh at this. What game type do you play on CoD that doesn't take strategy? EVERY time i play a game, my buddies and I are always talking/using strategy. Just because i play CoD, doesn't mean i don't use strategy.

Funny little side note, i downloaded the Battlefield 3 beta the other day, the first three games i went 10-4, 14-3, and 15-6 respectively. and won every game. Should show some of my "strategy". The game isn't hard.

They are trying to take the best parts of the game an make them better while getting rid of some of the more annoying. If you know your playing against a noob tuber then you have to use your noodle an rock a class that protects against it. There are ways to counter how others play thats the fun in the game. Personally i do well on every COD because i can adapt. If your getting camped on camp them back then they will get mad an have to change up how they play.

YES! I forgot about the confirm kill mode. I believe that it's just a type of team deathmatch. You can actually pick up your own teams dog tags and "deny" the kill, thus giving the opponent no points for it. Such a cool Idea. Most games take some level of strategy to be consistently good. All shooters are the same for me, learn the spawn points, patrol main areas, stay mobile. All keys to my success. Campers are easily thwarted. Tubes can be mitigated with the new flak jacket perk, and flak jacket does not protect against flash and lightweight.

I'm a huge fan of the CoD series and this looks great. Incomparable to CoD4, though.
CoD4 was the height of Activision's fame. They messed up with World at War, and came back with MW2, which, in my opinion, was the second best, next to CoD4. I'm really looking forward to this release.

CoD4 was fantastic, but the way the killstreaks are laid out made it easy to pop into max kills at an early time. Don't get me wrong, MW2 had tons of problems, like boosting, hacks and glitches, ruining some multiplayer games. As far as balancing and having a level playing field that was boost free, I've had the best experience with Black Ops.

All in all, CoD4 was my favorite.

I really enjoyed MW2. It was versatile, and well thought through. I agree, the multiplayer was a bit sketchy (to be honest, I prefer servers over lobby's any day), but the maps were well planned, the weapons were new and different, and the killstreak menu was a great addition to it; it was an amazing improvement on the original killstreaks.
CoD4 was definitely my favorite aswell.
I had Black Ops for around a week, but I ended up selling it because I hated it.
Personally, I thought it was going to be another WaW, which it basically turned out to be.
I really didn't enjoy it.

I was able to get Blops on Steam last year for 40 bucks, via Direct2Drive key sale and got WaW free

Yikes! Trust me, I love pc as well. I had to buy a top of the line graphics card to play CoD4 just because it was all the store carried. Due to this, I buy a pc game any chance I get to make use of it. But for a game like MW3, I might try to buy it retail for pc OR console instead of off Steam. That extra 40 could buy me a fancy hat.

I caved and picked up MW3 late last night.

Surprisingly...I LOVE IT.

The killstreaks have been significantly nerf'ed, the maps are more varied and interesting than Black Ops, and the gameplay feels much tighter. Keep in mind, this is still an arcade shooter, but I haven't been this addicted to a shooter since Killzone 3 and COD4.

I've simply fallen in love with the Kill Confirmed match. It adds a whole new element of strategy and it makes you play differently. If you're a team-first guy, you'll love it since your team's victory matters a little more than your own stats.
