I won't be excited until I hear more about it and even then...CoD games have really lost their luster for me ever since I played the hell out of CoD 4. It just feels like they're recycling the same game time and time again with slight "improvements" (I stress that word because not all of the changes are great obviously).

Granted, I have bought every CoD game despite all my complaining, but I feel Battlefield 3 may change that. If BF3 can live up to the hype it's getting then I may just skip the new CoD unless they can make some drastic changes to the formula.

I'm cool on COD. Unless they find a way to distinguish this one from the past three other than just new maps and minor features, I'm not buying.

Battlefield 3 however.........

I still feel that the perfect way to make MW2 would have been to just bring out a massive map pack with new weapons for Call of Duty 4 instead of releasing a whole new game. I played CoD4 wayyy too much.

The "if it aint broken, don't fix it" approach would have worked best for me.

There were some things they added, such as the Akimbo feature, that I wasn't particularly fond of in MW2, but on the whole I enjoyed the game. I still think MW1 was a better all around game, but I enjoyed the multiplayer in MW2 a bit more.

I'll definitely be grabbing MW3 when it comes out. After the travesty that was World at War, I only buy CoD titles when the real studio releases them and I have no plans to stop. I might try Battlefield 3, but that franchise never appealed to me the way CoD does.

Im excited to see what new features they will add. I feel the same way if IW isnt doing it then im not going to get it until its reviewed. I was excited to see that not only will IW be doing this but Raven Studios will also be helping or atleast thats what the article I read was saying. Im hoping with the extra added support that this will turn out like CoD4 an blow away all the doubters.

I have to disagree in that I personally enjoyed MW1's multiplayer much more than I did MW2, mostly because I felt that the playing attitude of the people on MW2 was much more negative, ruining the appeal of playing.

World at War and Black Ops would have been an utter waste of a lot of money had it not been for the fact that I'm completely hooked on the Zombies mode on it.

That's definitely understandable, but the trash talking doesn't bother me enough to ruin the experience. It definitely did get worse from MW1 to MW2.

Zombies was fun for a while on World at War, but it wasn't enough for me to justify getting Black Ops. The titles from the other studio don't seem as polished to me, in both single player and multiplayer, and the online community still exists for MW2 so I decided to wait.

The trash talking doesn't bother me so much (I probably dished more out than I received) as the negative type of gameplay. I suppose I just get too frustrated over small things but I didn't like the additions of things such as the heartbeat sensor.

If I remember correctly Black Ops was actually a Christmas gift so I didn't spend money on the purchase myself, but I think zombies has just about made up for the fact that I haven't played it online in a long time. I most likely won't bother with another Treyarch title regardless of a zombie mode.

With the revealing of MW3: Elite, I'm forced to rescind my previous statement as I will not be buying MW3 anymore. I refuse to pay for any game that thinks subscription fees in any form for a non-MMO console title is appropriate on principle. It looks like I'll be getting Battlefield 3 instead.

You have seen the light. lol

Honestly, COD wouldn't be so bad if they didn't just milk the franchise every year like it's a Madden game with little to no innovation between each installment. The MW3: Elite announcement just shows that they are even further trying to milk the franchise. Sad thing is, they'll succeed in doing so.

GOW 3, Battlefield 3, and Uncharted 3 are the only shooters I'm looking forward to this year.

I doubt it'll be worth the RRP, so I'll try and buy it from a supermarket which does a release day deal and sells it at nearly half price.

It's that or I won't get it.

Just because you sucked at it, doesn't make it [terrible]. I recall we had a lot of fun playing that game despite your and Jon's struggles.
