What Happens When Gregg Is Done?

8 posts in this topic

Do we move Ngata over or what?

what? Basically right now Ngata, Buddy Lee, and Bannan alternate playing the two DT positions. So, When Gregg is done, we try to find someone to replace him in that rotation.

I like Bannan now, I didnt think he was going to improve much past being a sevicable run stopper but he has. Ngata is is going to be the key anchor though.

considering the fact that every year we do have a pretty solid draft of young talented players, i strongly believe that when he is in fact done, we will have the players necessary and the talent necessary in order to pick up where he left off and continue on for the future. Ozzie knows his players and knows how to go after talented athletes when he see's them, so im sure that we'll have the talent and the versitle players. just because one player "retires" doesnt at all mean that he's completely through with football, he could come back and coach the yuonger generation of players to be the next all time greats or he could come back and mentor the younger players to just become all around better athletes. we have seen that in the way JO has come to Practices and helped out.

Besides the fact that is the old line of "whenever one man goes down, another MUST pick up where he left off and continue on" so thats what we all must do, retiring from Football is a fact of nature that is un-deniable and virtually un deniable, so young players must all step it up eventually, if not immediately in order to find a spot on our roster and see actual playing time.

This is not a premature question.

Gregg got the knee surgery and is on the wrong side of 30. He probably has 1-2 left (where he plays good).

And how often do rookie DLineman make an impact?

Justin Bannan is not the future too.

I say we pick up a DT in the upcoming draft.

Bannan is a beast, and a starter on most NFL rosters. Ngata made a impact as a rookie.. Baltimore is amoung the best in the league at finding Defensive talant.
