Game Balls/positive's

Yes I know another loss, but there were some good things.

Who would your game ball go to?

Mine is Joe Flacco--he found out this afternoon he was going to start AND scored the first passing TD of the season, pretty good for a rookie from Delaware!

I forgot with a shout out to special teams/punt coverage--major improvement.

I agree. The first half was..well, bad. But I think he settled down in the second half and started to show some of his stuff. I don't think the numbers tell the whole story. He had a few overthrows, but made some good decisions. I'm glad to see progress everytime this kid plays. He's not stagnant, which is what we've had of late here in Baltimore. I do think he is the real deal, with a good chance of starting later in the season depending on how the starting QB/QB's have been playing. He's the starter next year.

I would give it to Flacco and Zbikowski.

Flacco did decent in his first start on short notice.

Zbikowski did good on special teams and made a play on defense.

I gotta say all 3 of our newer safeties looked good, especially Zbikowski with the pick, getting a piece of that punt, a 3 tackles to go with it. Leonhard's highlight had to be his punt return for about 40 yards, and Nakamura that nice tackle for a 3 yard loss later in the game.

I'd say Zbikowski hands down but I'm not sure how much he did while not making those couple of great plays (punt block and interception).

Special teams rocked. Punts/kicks were nearly perfect, great returns.

Flacco showed promise.
