Two things:

1). I could have sworn they advertised a practice squad

2). Any tips on scouting? Seems like you just select, confirm at various points of the season then combine, etc. then draft.

Go to the scouting/prospects list, there you can still sort the potential stat from high to low even when they're hidden, then save the game. Restart and scout until you find the first A potential player, everyone above will be an A. There are usually around 20-25 for each draft.

Note: If you actually scout a player with an A rating he will be drafted by the AI way before his projected round. So write them down then restart and scout some random players as a decoy. Also, 1st-2nd round A potential guys go quick regardless of who is in the top 10.

You know something I can't figure out, Pre-season Cuts are a nice addition to Franchise Mode, but what's the point of them in Year 1, especially since EA releases Roster Updates Weekly. I mean every team's 53 Man Rosters are set so shouldn't Cut Days started in Year 2 instead?

Just to be realistic I suppose, I don't see a problem with it. I ended up keeping two of the rookies that were on the PS roster.

I actually haven't used it. I like scouting and seeing if I'm right.

On another note, I FINALLY found the perfect sliders for me:

CPU: 80 across the board
User: 25 across the board
10:00 qtrs.

I only made one concession: I bumped def tackling up to 30 as the Steelers are always sure tacklers. I struggle in the run and it takes the whole game to get 100 yds, but it is so much more fun/intense this way.

there is still some wierd collarbone fetish in the game, honestly I know thats a big injury in the CFL and in Rugby but the nfl its realy rare

How did you get hold of all the players that aren't currently Ravens?

Going to start up a 32 team Franchise and play out the games similar to how the games are played in real life to match the current real season. It may take a while to complete especially with me having to play every game to get the correct results but at least I can have a Franchise that matches real life.

been noticing some quirks that remind me of the CFL actualy , anyone in thier seasons have penalties that seem off in thier execution of nfl rules , a holding call that gave them the yards of the play then penalized them, this is frustrating for me because thats not the nfl rule in the cfl thats how its handled but not in the NFL . I think we need Americans making Madden not French Canadians , I think they think the nfl and cfl handle ruies the same and they dont

That's effectively cheating though is it not? I don't see the point in playing franchise with it because the whole idea is to draft and develop your own new players.

One thing I do to have fun on Madden is switch the sides of the ball. Like offensive and defensive guys switch. Kinda dumb and goofy, but it's pretty neat.

I really wish they would fix the Importing Issue. I Uploaded one where Luck, and a couple others were 1st-3rd rounders yet Matt Barkley was scheduled to go un-drafted. Even Matt Kalil I could have got in the 3rd round. For once I would really like to replicate the real Draft and have players go where they are projected in the real draft.
