already found some bugs from last year in the commentary - aparently torrey smith is a great corner back who intercepts passes meant for him and makes tds with them

Just realized that the NCAA 12 Imported Draft Class do not work, apparently the way it's set up in NCAA 12 is that it asks you if you want to import before going to the Players leaving screen, but from what I gather from Operation Sports Forums, your suppose to say no the first time, and do the Import AFTER the players leaving screen and the Draft Classes will work. So there goes 5 years worth of Dynasty and a National Championship down the drain.

I just can't believe EA asked you to import before seeing the Players leaving screen, it hasn't been like this before, it always asked to import after the Players Leaving Screen and you either let people go or talked them into coming back for another year. I feel EA just ripped me of my 5 Draft Classes for having me think the only way to Import is before the Players Leaving Screen.... Back to Blockbuster to rent NCAA 12 and do this properly.

I just found out about that bug with the NCAA 12 Draft Classes. I'm royally pissed.

Shame, too. I've been loving Madden 12 thus far, but now I have almost no reason to play Franchise Mode since I won't be able to use the few Delaware players that I've worked so hard to build into NFL-caliber talent over four seasons.

I own Madden 11, and my big question is: is the franchise mode improved enough from 11 to 12 to justify the purchase of Madden 12? I would be primarily buying 12 for the franchise mode. Is it worth it?

From my first impressions, I'd say yes and no.

The expanded preseason rosters, player roles, and dynamic player progressions are about as good as advertised, more or less. I like that all draft rookies now have pictures of real faces, though "real" in the sense that they're real people, not the actual players themselves. I love that rookies' ratings aren't static in the preseason, as their rating and potential is shaped by how they perform, not necessarily their draft position.

The presentational features are good, though the commentary detracts heavily from your immersion in the game since there'll be lines that don't make sense ("The rookie QB has now thrown 4 picks," in reference to Ben Roethlisberger; or "this running back is having trouble finding daylight, as that's his first carry," after Ricky Williams runs 25 yards for a first down on his first carry) and moments where people in the crowd will inexplicably get in the way during dramatic cutscenes.

I've yet to touch scouting or free agent bidding since I haven't gone through a whole season yet, but the bidding is apparently good from the reviews that I've read. Also from what I've read, the draft logic has improved but still has some minor issues, and the trade logic is much better than in years past.

My biggest gripe is still the glitch in importing NCAA 12 rosters, as I don't want to have to play through 4 seasons again just to have my schoolmates in the game. I don't want other people's named rosters; I want named rosters with my Delaware guys in there, even though most of them wouldn't have a realistic shot at the NFL.

This one's taking a bit longer for me to get used to. Maybe I'm just getting old. I always play in All-Pro, and it usually only takes half a game for me to get used to everything. Is it just me or does it seem tougher?

It seems like the Franchise mode is better. I like the feature where you get to cut the players. I don't know about anybody else but I miss the days of 'Training Camp'. I always looked forward to running the drills and making my guys better.

I usually play very well at All-Pro. I popped it in went up to the Steelers and I was disgusted to let them score not only the first TD on my new game, but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. I'm hoping its just the rust, but at first glance, All-Pro did seem a bit more difficult this year.

Smh. You let them score 4 TDs on you? After they scored the 2nd one on me, I locked them down... to FGs.

But it does make me feel better to know I'm not the only one having a hard time.

All-Madden is ridiculously hard this year. I'm glad they've finally introduced tuner sets this year and I'm hoping an official one gets released soon because there's no reason why Ray Rice should fumble on every other carry and the opposing team should score on every other play.

All-Pro is a little more difficult this year, but not so much that it's impossible to do well and have the occasional blowout victory. Pro is a bit too easy this year, most likely to cater to the casual fan.

Well after the first two, I sort of got disinterested in the game and started multi-tasking on my computer. I'll get into more serious playing later. I just wanted to give it a go.

That's always been a problem with Madden. The difference between game difficulties is too much. I played Pro and it was like a coming out party. Rice ran for 300+ yards 6 TDs. Its just not right. All-Pro was more of a struggle as I knock the rust off. But then All-Madden just doesn't pass the realistic test.

All Madden has always been stupid for difficulty. Its not even realistic football. Guys with 66 ratings block shedding Olineman with high 80s ratings as soon as the snap is done, WRs with a beat press rating of 55 blowing past corners with press ratings in the 90s. Its always been ridiculous. Theres a video on youtube of a guy running a simulation on All Madden with QUARTERBACKS as Olinemen against the Ravens defense and Ngata gets pancaked by Peyton Manning.

My 360 is broken so I couldn't buy it. But I went over to a friends house last night and played. It looks and feels like Madden 11, but I only played one game. I was lit up by Alex Smith and the 49ers, and Jimmy couldn't stop Braylon. Either way though, Madden is the only video game I ever buy, so I can't wait to get it lol.

Reading that there's no change again to superstar mode. A couple very minor changes that does nothing. wow.
They said that there was more emphasis placed on Franchise Mode and presentation than any other mode. Gameplay-wise, they did their usual thing of tweaking certain aspects, but they could redeem themselves with the new downloadable tuner sets.

Has anyone figured out the scouting system yet? It's kinda different from years past. It won't let me scout the same player in consecutive weeks.

EDIT: Found a LINK ... should answer a few questions.

Scouting now has Pro Days, Individual Workouts, and the Combine? That almost (...almost...) makes up for my 4 wasted seasons in NCAA 12, until they come up with a patch/solution for that.

Franny I think EA Tib out did themselves with franchise mode. I noticed something tandon doss seems to have some nifty hands in the game . they need to add a patch that talks about him as a superhero though1

Don't bother with custom playbooks, they're bugged too. Plays you didn't choose are thrown in there, and plays you did choose are left out. I was trying to make a playbook that was more conducive to Lee Evans skills, and ended up with a playbook that just angered me.

And has anyone else had the CPU's quarterback scramble... nearly every play? For some reason, Big Ben likes to just take off and run on almost every play.

I agree. For as many gripes as I have about the game, I love what they've done with Franchise Mode and there's enough things about it to keep me coming back.

I haven't had that problem, but that's probably because I blitz excessively against the CPU and I use a lot of QB spy coverages.

I played my first franchise game against the Steelers and Big Ben had more yards than both teams combine. I was playing man and he had 8 CARRIES for 78 YARDS. Mendenhall only had 7 haha. Only had 31 with Rice on 18 carries.

Glad it wasn't just me then lol Seems it's just Pittsburgh though. Hasselbeck and Bradford never scrambled once.

Rice fumbled the ball for me FOUR times against Pitt. I think I lost in overtime. I blame it on Ray Rice.
Wow that's ridiculous. That's what? 4 times the amount of times that he fumbled all of last year?
