Vs. The S.l. Rams

In this game there are position battles with guys fighting to stay on the team, guys recovering from injuries, and some pre-season experiments going on just to test our options. What are some of the things you guys as fans are looking for in your evaluation of the team? B)

Well I want to see Troy step up and manage the game, because someone needs to and since he is playing most of the game, I hope he can do it. I also would like to see Marcus Smith, Justin Harper, or Ernie Wheelwright have some good catches to show they can potentially be playmakers. Of course that goes hand in hand with how well we're throwing the ball.

I want to see Ray Rice dominate while he is on the field again.

I want to see if Edgar Jones can play tight end.

I would be interested to see the Neal/McClain tandem in the backfield to see if it could really work.

I wanna see Ngata, CMac, Suggs, and Rolle in action and reassure me that last week's defensive effort was due to bad communication, and bad back ups *cough* Frank Walker

I would like to see our young guys on d continue to step it up (Barnes, Zbikowski, Nakamura, Gooden).

I hope Adam Terry is ready to play and doesn't get injured again tonight...I would like to see him do a good job at it as well, along with Kracalik (who arguably has been the best so far in the games, maybe not saying much though), Cousins, and Slaughter.

I've finally come to the realization that Troy Smith is the best starter for us. I want to see what he can do w/ the first team out there. Last week was less than impressive.

Also want to watch the OL and see if they've improved over the last two games.

And what type of play will we see from our CB's (back-ups)?

Honestly, I'm only concerned about three things: O-line play, the QB position, and whether the first-string defense can improve from their mediocre performance last week.

Individual performances, I could frankly care less about since most positions are set, with the exception of the QB position, of course; it'll be interesting to see what type of scenarios play out as a result of Troy Smith's performance (and to an extent, Joe Flacco's, as well).

I want to see some WR besides Mason making some plays consistently. I don't want to see one great catch and then nothing for the rest of the game.

I also hope that no one gets re-injured (Adam Terry, CMac, etc).

And of course Troy Smith, the future of our season rests on his shoulders...

Keep in mind that our defense sat 7 starters last week.

i want to see how the starting offense and defense (well, almost) perform against another (almost) first string offense and defense, to get a real feel of what were seeing for the rest of the year. also, our DB's.

I'm glad Adam's back I just wish Jared Gaither would have played in at least one preseason game, what a set back for a line that was already being looked at as ''below average''. Im sure they'll come together by mid-season. I'll be looking for Troy to make good drives down field and ''seal the deal'' in the contraversy of Charm City. GOOD LUCK TROY
