Nfl's Dirtiest Jobs

I think fixing the Miami Dolphins is a tougher job than Cam Cameron fixing the Ravens offense.

At least the Ravens, in the absolute worst-case scenario, have had the defense and special teams units to fall back on. And it's not as if the Ravens offense isn't without a couple of playmakers.

Fixing the Raiders is the absolute toughest job in the NFL, though, IMO. There's just no explanation as to how Oakland continues to lose, even with all the talent they've had over the past several years...

...well, actually, there is an explanation: Al Davis. <_<

Atleast Buddy Ryan is trying to make somethin of their defense. I think hes doin a pretty good job. He just needs a good front 4.

The Raiders defense under Buddy Ryan has been alright, but nothing to truly write home about. Although the team was tied for 10th in interceptions last season, their total defense ranked a middle-of-the-road 22nd in the league, only a spot ahead of the abysmal Miami Dolphins.

There've been individual playmakers on that defense who've shined, but the entire unit still needs work. Significantly.

I know. But Im saying not too many teams were getting left to right passes on them. They were running more then passing. Just like teams were passing on us more then running. They dont have a set 4 front thatll stop. We didnt have depth at secondary to keep teams from moving the ball through the air.

Does anyone else find it odd that Mark Clayton was proclaimed a "possession receiver"?

As opposed to what? A downfield threat? All 11.1 YPC of his? Or a playmaker? All 0 TDs of his?

Not that great of a read in my opinion.

The author makes it sound like everything about this offense is horrid, when in fact like Cam says in the article, it's not as bad as outsiders' conceptions of it really are. The author belittles Heap, McGahee, Rice with his statements as well. But whatever...

Even if the season doesnt go well I hope we retain Cam and Matsko. Our offense looks like a 2-3 year project.

and our Defense is an ETERNITY

You're right, my bad. To be honest, I keep forgetting that Rob is Buddy's son, and not the other way around...

...and yet, I never confuse Rex's name for his dad's.

Hmm...maybe it's 'cause I still think "Buddy" is such a kid-ish nickname...lol.
