NCAA Men's Lacrosse Thread

Earlier this month, the brackets were released for the NCAA Men's Lacrosse Tournament, and I do like what I'm seeing - both of last season's championship combatants, Duke and Notre Dame, are in the field, as are the dynasties of Men's Lacrosse - Syracuse and Johns Hopkins.

I also notice that Cornell is in the field as a two seed, and I can accept that, as the Big Red can be pretty dangerous come Tournament time.

I welcome your comments on the field, as well as in regard to this sport at the major college level as a whole.

My original picks for the Final Four went down to defeat this past weekend, so now the Final Four of this season consists of the following -

Virginia
Denver
Maryland
Duke

My pick is for an all-ACC final featuring Virginia and Maryland, and I have to like the Terrapins on the basis of their desire for the trophy.

I was very sad that Hopkins got knocked out, but they have a very young team and should be very good next year. Time to root for the Terps I guess.

I had not expected Virginia to win this year's Championship, but with their 9-7 victory over Maryland, I can now say that my bracket has been wrecked.

Ah, well, there's always hope for next year.
