Joe Flacco #90 On Top 100

276 posts in this topic

Matt Ryan will be ranked top 30, top 20...which is a joke.

Joe Flacco doesn't get enough respect. I was surprised he made the list to be honest just because of that fact.

John Harbaugh talked about him, they mention all the records he holds not on in the Ravens history but in the history of the league, most wins, playoff wins each year in his first 3 years.

**EDIT*** Josh Freeman is ranked above Flacco at 87...or whatever...now Im just getting angry....this is ridiculous...player polls are worse than the experts lol, just goes to show everyone has their own opinions....idk, Freeman had a good year but..... (shakes head)

Well this just goes to prove the bias that exists within the NFL within anything and anybody related to the Ravens. Get this, Joe Flacco is #90 and Josh Freeman #86??? Need I say more? Flacco 3 yrs - 3 playoffs - 4 wins in playoffs
Freeman - WHO????????

I dunno, that's about right for Joe... he still makes some inexplicably dumb plays and can't beat Pittsburgh in the playoffs. Had he done that, he'd be higher.

Right now I am absolutely livid with anger! I only hope Joe Flacco is watching this and takes it personally! Come on is there anything more insulting than to be considered inferior to Freeman by your peers?
Wow - I hate the fact that Flacco is so maligned repeatedly and consistently! Is it his personality that turns people off? What else can this guy do? Dang I am still angry!

The only redeeming factor will be Ray Lewis ranked #1 and Ed Reed ranked in the top 10 of this stupid list!!! Dang I am still angry and I am watching it no more...

Who cares? We all know by now that Joe could go on the road next year, win three playoff games, and get us to the Superbowl, win it, and they'd still put Matt Ryan and Josh Freeman ahead of him. What will be really interesting to me is if they put Mark Sanchez on the list ahead of Flacco and then say it's because he "led" his team to two AFC Championship Games,

<Deleted>, Joe Flacco should be ranked up with Matt Ryan who will no doubt be top 30, top 20...Joe has won more games, Joe has actually won playoff games, Ryan and Freeman havent done anything

At the end of the day....who cares. If Joe Cool goes out there and does what we all expect then the people, fans, players, or experts that doubt him will have no choice but to respect him, or look foolish in trying to defend why they are still not sold on Flacco.

Also, the Ravens defense still holds a lot of weight so, even players will look at the overall team he has around him, as opposed to Freeman who lead a team full of young guys.

Things like this don't matter one way or the other. The system is flawed to begin with, because every person they spoke to about Flacco or any other player, hasn't played against Flacco or only played against him maybe once. So really they are just like us in the fact that they need highlights on NFL Network to see how well a player is performing.

Because Flacco hasn't had major success in the NFL, his public perception is reality unfortunately.

Regardless how can you justify him being ranked below Josh Freeman and Mike Williams? The only problem with Flacco is how he is that he fails to inspire confidence in people that watch him play(probably because he is so quiet and underwhelming)but definitely doesn't play like that at all! I beleive he as competitive as any other elite QB out there!

lol, oh my god, i forgot about the Sanchize...wow, I might have to cry if he gets listed ahead of Joe Flacco..

I think the Ravens may have the most listed though....possible top 100, Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Haloti Ngata, Terell Suggs, Boldin, Oher, Birk, Heap,.....maybe Mason, Kelly Gregg would have been a few years ago...

If this is a list of top 100 of last year then yeah Freeman deserves to be ahead of Flacco, he had higher passer rating, less interceptions, and less slacks.....slightly ahead of Flacco.....The funny thing is that Matt Ryan had a worse passer rating then both Flacco and Freeman, threw more touchdowns but also threw more interceptions, and watch him be in top 30.

Joe Flacco may just be the most underrated QB in the league...

Gets none of the media love yet performs and produces more than the golden boys with TB, ATL, and NYJ... More stuff to stoke the flame, IMO. Teach 'em something, Flacco.

And I see the Falcon fan is lurking here so I'll say it again. Joe Flacco has performed better than Matt Ryan. The statistics back that up. And that's not even mentioning playoff performance/wins.

You know what's funny. If the Ravens made the same exact move the Falcons did in the draft, it would probably be views as the Ravens needing to surround Flacco with elite talent. While with Matt Ryan it's viewed as that extra piece to get him over the top.

I can't wait to see Joe put the entire NFL on notices this year.

On other note. We have a QB that regardless of how low he is ranked, he's viewed as one of the best QBs in the NFL. Raise your hand if you saw that coming 5-7 years ago.

It is garbage, I'm not denying Josh Freeman has a decent year his rookie year, you also have to take into account what teams they faced, Josh Freeman went against a lot of soft teams last year...like the panthers, rams, seahawks, redskins, cardinals. etc etc

that list is stupid, its meant to get people all up in arms and its has succeeded...it pissed me off, haha

True, true... when ESPN came out with its top 10 list, I was pretty sure that was the first time a Ravens QB had been top 10 anything (since maybe 1996).

But whatever, I guess I've overestimated the intelligence of the majority of the players. We'll probably end up seeing Vince Young in the 70s

Joe #90 and Josh Freeman makes #86? by the players themselves? yeah right! that is pure b.s. no way Josh Freeman should be higher than Joe. Joe has come in the league and led us to 3 str8 playoffs in 3 years.

and Josh Freeman? ummm... i'm waiting...

Flacco will get his respect!

The whole list has been pretty bad to be honest.
That's because unless they are watching game film or that certain player is playing on national TV, players don't get a chance to watch others play.

It's the same way with the pro bowl voting. People say oh the players voting so and so into the Pro Bowl. But they do just like the fans do. Oh the Falcons are 19-1 at home under Matt Ryan, that's really good. I'll vote for him.

However if these players were actually allowed to breakdown every single snap of every single game, their opinions might be much different.

It's just like when they get to #1 or at least the best QB. It'll be a debate between Manning and Brady, they say it's supposed to be for 2011, but everything they say about them will be career driven. When in all honesty, Phillp Rivers probably should be considered the best QB of 2011.

How did Matt Ryan throw more ints then Flacco ?

I knew this was going to happen...lol.. The ones who are saying that Matt Ryan is going top 20 is NUTS...lol.. Dude is not going top 20... He will be between 70 and 50

Im telling you guys... It goes all the way back to most feeling like other QB's have more on their shoulders then Flacco... I get your arguments tho... But u guys say the experts are bias and now the players are bias...

Those who are saying its a bias vs the ravens... thats crazy... Ed Reed,Haloti Ngata and Ray Lewis will go in the top 20... maybe even T.Suggs go in the top 30.... Thats part of the flacco problem.... Most feel like that D is what run your team...

I feel like the guy is pretty low on this list also but it is what it is... Freeman had a GREAT year ... Not a decent year...He and Matt Ryan was the comback kids las t year... But you also have to add in... Most of his wins was against teams with a losing record

They hate Baltimore, if Joe Flacco was drafted by Atlanta they would be praising how well he plays and how much he has accomplished and Matt Ryan would be in Baltimore not getting nearly as much respect.

I wonder if some of you understand what these rankings are. They are from LAST SEASON, not the last 3 seasons. Now I will be angry when Ben is higher than Flacco

Ed should be in the top 10, Suggs should be in the top 25. Suggs and Harrison are the 2 best all around OLBs in the game. Based on last year only Ray will prob be in the top 25 as well.

A lot of Ravens fans fail to realize that. Over the final 14 games, he throw like 25TDs to only 6 INTs. Only the MVP Tom Brady had a better TD-INT ratio.

But like I said, it really doesn't matter because a championship would either shut everyone up, or just make them look silly in bashing Flacco.

I dont think Ryan will be that high... The highest will be late 40's... But i see him being between the 50 and 70 ... Also the players did this vote... right or wrong... They did.

I get why some of yall are overly pissed tho... Dude should be over 90... I think the experts would have him well over 90...

I just dont get why you guys gotta cry over Matt Ryan EVERYTIME... Rip the players for him Freeman over him... I think Freeman should be where he is but Flacco should be higher on this list...He and Matt Ryan should be in the top 60 to me ... Heck Woodley is low on this list....

Joe Flacco is better than Josh Freeman. Let's just get that out of the way. Freeman threw 10 TD's as opposed to 18 INT's in his rookie year, and had a soft schedule last year. All Flacco does is win. He had a good rookie year and still excels every single season, all while being in the AFC North. I think he and Ryan are equal even though Ryan hasn't won a playoff game. Still, Freeman above Flacco is a travesty, but give me the wins instead of the fame and I bet Flacco feels the same way
