I used to live in NC and I went to that school for a baseball camp once. Cool to see him visit there.

I hope these kids can appreciate the opportunity to hear Ray in person. The thunder in the background enhances the talk!

When Ray retires, somebody better publish a motivational cd (YES I know He already has one)..but a high quality, CD with accapella, and some over beats. Listening to that speech made me wanna run thru a wall, grab a barbell, and start doing squats with 400lbs. I wanna hear his voice pop up while im working out. Living Motivation man, a living legend.

Last year there was a website you could stream some tunes from.

Music in the background and Ray talking along.

Tried for a good while to find that site, even emailed his offical site but never did find it again.
I'll send another enquiry

After watching this guy speak, all I hoped was get back to my youth and use him as inspiration and achieve everything that I could have but did not!

I know what you mean! While listening I thought about how I could have worked harder playing basketball in high school, and how I should have had the confidence to tryout in college.

Honestly i am not sure why he has not won man of the year yet. The guy inspire's those around him on the field. Helped that young child in NY after his whole family was taken from him, he took the kid bowling and was teaching him how like he was the child's father. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I know i shouldn't post in caps but man that needs to be yelled. He fires up young college kids teaching them to have a passion for what they do and a confidence in themselves to never give up or back down when people say no. He has created a foundation for helping the education system to under-privileged kids in inner city Baltimore I mean is there anything this guy hasn't done to set a great exampl not only in football but in life too. And on top of that has managed to play some dang good football for 15 years I mean who else in the league can say that they have ever had that much overall impact.

As far as I'm concerned, Ray Lewis has a lifetime contract with the Ravens. We should never let the situation become like the Brett Favre situation in Green Bay. He always has a home here:

Ray is much more eloquent off the field than he is on the field or in pre game speeches than he is when all fired up on the football field. I never would have guessed. I thought he just babbled about God and dogs in the house, etc.

But he's saying seize the day and hard work is the secret to happiness. These are Griddanian truths. These are the secrets of my life.

And with that, I respect Ray Lewis: despite the theism. I respect him. He can go into politics and become the Mayor of Baltimore or the Governor of Maryland, very easily.

Just looking at how he played the game, though, one can come to the conclusion that he was the greatest inside linebacker to ever play the game. All his speeches and motivation not-with-standing: take all of that away, and solely on his on-field actions and play (forget calling the play and coaching up the players around him and giving them hints, as we routinely hear in mic'd up Pro Bowl games) Ray Lewis is the greatest ILB/MLB the game has ever known.

That's apparent and objectively evident in the statistics. Tackles made behind the goal-line, made before 3 yards out, defensive stops (tackles which lead to a 3rd down becoming a 4th down), interceptions, sacks, etc.

He isn't perfect. He's been blocked out of plays. He's shot the wrong gap a few times. The NYG game was probably the worst of his career (when they were #1 in rushing and we were #1 in stopping the run). But he's still the greatest to ever play the game on defense. Lawrence Taylor, Ray Lewis and Jack Ham.
