Is it even possible for Flacco to go to the Pro Bowl with our style of offense with all the other good AFC QB's? I dont know how many QB's are selected from each conference but if its 3 or less Flacco has no chance (Manning, Brady, Rivers)...sorry Joe
he's not gonna make it because he'll be in the Superbowl

I think I'll go realistic, bold predictions.

1. Ed Reed plays the entire season and logs a career high 11 interceptions and 4 defensive touchdowns and wins his second defensive player of the year Award.
2. Ray finishes the season with 150+ tackles, 5 sacks, 3 forced fumbles, and 3 interceptions.
3. In his rookie year, Jimmy comes away with 4 interceptions, one being a pick six, and breaks up 13 passes.
4. Rice ends up with 1,400 yards rushing, 500 yards receiving and 12 total touchdowns (10 rushing, 2 receiving).
5. Flacco throws for 4,200 yards, 34 touchdowns and 8 interceptions.
6. Smith, Foxworth, and Wilson are our starting three cornerbacks.
7. The defense ends the season as the number one defense again, being third against the pass and first against the run.
8. Boldin goes over 1,200 yards and notches 11 touchdowns.
9. Mason has 900 yards and 9 touchdowns.
10. Heap logs 700 yards along with 6 touchdowns.
11. Torrey has 500 yards and 3 touchdowns.
12. Dickson ends the season with 400 yards and 3 touchdowns.
13. The Ravens sweep the AFCN, finish the season, go on a 12 game winning streak on the way to a 14-2 regular season record.

my bold predictions are as follows

1.we beat pittsburgh in the playoffs...or indy...

2. we have harbs behind cam with a cattle prod poking him if he calls a unwarranted running play (which he is guilty of)

3. Kindle is healthy him t-sizzle and redding scare the pants off qbs

4..and finally...we get what we ALL want and have come so close..a ring..

5. my wish comes true..Ed Reed gets the ring he deserves then he can hang up his cleats whenever he sees fit

2. Suggs, building off his great end to the 2010 season, named Defensive Player of the Year, racks up 15+ sacks

I like this one, that would be mint.

while all the predictions are cool except the Ray Lewis - mediocre season one - really? However, the only prediction that would mean everything to everybody is winning the Super Bowl! win it for Reed, Heap Suggs, Johnson and Ngata!

I say we sweep the Steelers and we beat them by double digit numbers ( I felt this way this past season and it almost came true..... not the double digit part though )

We also beat the Colts by double digit numbers.

We get the first round bye by having the best record in the AFC ( Best record in the league ) and we win the SB.

1. The Ravens finish at the top of the league in sacks.

2. Flacco finishes the year with over 4000 yards and 32 touchdown passes with less than 10 INTs

3. Ray Rice averages over 5 yards a carry like 2009 and once again has over 2000 total yards.

4. The Ravens sweep the division and defeat the Patriots in the AFCCG en route to a Superbowl victory over the Packers.

5. And the boldest of all: Cam Cameron actually uses gameplans that make sense and play to the strengths of his personnel, and the Ravens finish in the top 5 in both total offense and total defense for the first time in franchise history.

My Simple Prediction:
Joe Flacco finally beats the Pittsburgh Steelers with a healthy Ben Roethlistberger after six tries.

My Ideal Prediction:
The Ravens pulls a 19-0 season by combining one of the most explosive offenses and one of the stingiest defenses together.

My Shocker Prediction:
After winning the Super Bowl, Ozzie Newsome will file his retirement papers as the GM of the Baltimore Ravens to start another journey as the AD for the Alabama Crimson Tides. I truly believe that the only thing that's holding back Ozzie from his dream job is the unfinished business of winning another super bowl.

Everyone knows we can't have everything, so we better be prepared for the unpredictable.

My Reality Prediction:
Ravens pull another fantastic regular season, only to fall short in the playoffs again. Cause for blame? Flacco and Cameron as usual. After that, fans are convinced that there's a curse going around like the Capitals Curse, where you can win all the regular games you want, just to choke out again against strong-willed opponents.

Moral of my Post:
We, Ravens fans, always hope for the best for our team all we want, but we also have to know that there's 31 other groups of fans that want the same thing. Therefore, up to 97% of fans are going to find their hopes and dreams to be wrong.

Gonna defend blaming Flacco? He hasn't lost us a playoff game yet.

I'm happy that winning the super bowl is not unrealistic.

If we get kindle back, we win the super bowl.

If we get gaither back we go undefeated and win the super bowl (because of the weakness of schedule).

Capitals dont win because they dont have enough talented grit on the team. Ovechkin is the only high skilled guy who plays with balls. Stanley Cup playoffs is as much about pure will as it is in skill. But thats a debate for another section.

Sadly bold prediction is that when we win the SB Ray decides to hang up at the top of the mountain and go out with his second SB ring.

Jimmy Smith shows nothing but class all year, saves orphans from a burning building, builds wells in Africa, sets up a fundraiser/program for troubled youth, and solves world hunger, yet the media still talks about his over whelming character concerns.

well that terrible pass to Todd Heap, and the botches snap didn't help he played as well as any man can be expected to play with James Harrison and Lamarr Woodley breathing down your back.

Flacco didn't botch the snap. Birk hit his own thigh with the ball.

I would say that the 0 TD 3 INT AFCCG against Pittsburg was as close as you can get to one player losing it for us. But he was just a rookie playing in what is still the biggest game of his career. Last year (09) he was obviously hurt. I'd say this year was his first real success in playoff game. He beat the Chiefs and did better than people want to give him credit for against the Steelers.

1. Flacco over 4,000 yards
2.Suggs, building off his great end to the 2010 season, named Defensive Player of the Year, racks up 15+ sacks
3. Mason collapses, but Tandon Doss takes up his mantle, becoming the first Ravens draft pick to accumulate 1,000 yards
4. Ray Rice gets less than 4.0 yards per carry, major changes on the O-line next offseason
5. Other than Suggs, the pass rush struggles again, racking up less than 30 sacks
6. Terrance Cody takes over for Kelly Gregg and becomes a force against the run
7. Jimmy Smith and Ed Reed get in a sideline feud at some point in the season
8. Ravens probowlers:
Ed Reed
Ray Lewis
Terrell Suggs
Haloti Ngata
Terrance Cody
Todd Heap
Joe Flacco as an injury replacement
9. The return of the Suggs package, with Tyrod Taylor
10. Flacco misses his first game as a pro, Taylor comes in and wins the game, the forums explode, wanting a QB controversy

This is just a fun thought experiment of course. I don't see all this happening, but it could.
i can see suggs getting most sacks this year in the nfl.. hes a beast and has continued his form from last post season

We sweep the Divison this year
Reed wins DPOY again with 11 ints

all in all we win it all
To add to this.
Ellerbe has a breakout season and proves to be the succesor to Ray Lewis
Lewis still will be the best MLB and record the most tackles in his carrer
JJ and Kindle fight for the starting position but Kindle wins, and we move JJ to MLB
Kindle will be an alternate to the probowl
As will Cary Williams
Suggs and Ngata are the runners up for DPOY
Smith wins rookie of the year
We trade Foxy during the draft to pick up Ed's replacement (if thats possible)
Reid will look good in training camp and have an epic battle for the starting LT but
Each tackle, and guard will make the pro bowl and Finally
Flacco wins MVP of the Superbowl and Rice wins it for the regular season.

One trillion interceptions.

That is the amount that is 100 billion times more interceptions than Ed will have all year. I think he gets 10.

I predicted that the Ravens would beat the Steelers 31-13, they came pretty close.....so hopefully what I'm about to say will carry perhaps a little weight.

The Baltimore Ravens are much better then most people believe or have anticipated.

This is Ozzie's greatest year stocking the team with talent since the Super Bowl year.......

there I said it.

The Super Bowl.

My bold prediction is .....the Super Bowl.

Ain't gonna say they will win it, but they definitely will be playing in it.

100% certain.

Book you room.

This years team is LOADED with talent. A masterful interweaving of youth, experience and free agents. And they are motivated to show everyone how good they can be.

Just watch it unfold......

Don't be so confident. Our team has that swagger for sure, but we can't be saying all this after 1 game. Def agree with this is the most talented team since our SB trip.

I will say the already dominating team we showed on the Sunday will continue and we will hold the rankings of the #1 defense of the year (currently 1st) and a top 10 offense (currently 4th).

I will say having watched since about '98 this is the best team we've ever had on paper. Mainly because of high level QB play.

In our 1st game against the Steelers, Jimmy Smith is a non factor due to an injury very early in the game, we run roughshod all over them, win the turnover battle 7-0, Ed Reed gets 2 picks, Ray Lewis gets a pick, Flacco throws 4 TDs (but one gets called back) and no INT (117 QB rating), Ray Rice burns them for over 100 yds on the ground, Ngata has a career type game, Steelers can't do anything but pick fights, Little Jen is a victim of "shock and awe" as are the rest of his team, all of the fans that came dressed in yellow begin to take their Steeler articles off with @ 14:30 left in the 3rd q, and they are filing out of the stadium by the time the 4th q starts.
RAVENS WIN 35-7

If you'd have predicted that a couple months ago I would have had trouble believing you.

Some bold predictions:

Flacco goes to the Pro Bowl
Rice gets 1,500 yards rushing to go with about 500 yards receiving, 12 total TDs
Oher, Yanda and Grubbs all get named as Pro Bowl starters
Dickson gets 10 TDs
We get the number 1 Defense
Suggs sets a career high in sacks with 14 or more
Reed wins DPOY with 10 INTs and 3 TDs

My list of events that I think will happen, to the surprise of many:

1. Tandon Doss will emerge as the heir to Boldin's throne by season's end. He will be our #2 til Boldin hangs it up.

2. David Reed will score 4 TD as a return man, and fight Torrey Smith for the team's 'deep threat' role.

3. Jimmy Smith will make the Pro Bowl as a rookie.

4. Kindle and Suggs will combine for 25 sacks.

5. Flacco breaks the 4,000 yard plateau.

6. Ray Lewis has his first mediocre season

7. Ray Rice leads the NFL in total yards, and second in rushing.

What are you bold predictions for 2011?
I am going with what I said the 1st week of preseason: The Ravens will represent the AFC in the Super Bowl this year. ...better than any personnel moves or statistics, although yours are good to read.
