Madden 12 Rookie Ratings

Casey Mathews is rated higher than Brooks Reed and Martez Wilson. I'm done. On a side note, Patrick Peterson, welcome to every Madden '12 Online Franchise I'll ever be in.

They rate them like that based on where they got drafted and Prince went before Smith and you got what you got.

Not entirely true, they have Brooks Reed rated lower than Casey Matthews. I dont know how theyre going to justify Amukamura higher than JSmith. If life was like Madden with no "off field issues" JSmith would have gone to Houston at #11.

I hate it when the majority of the players on madden are in the 90s. I think J. Smith will be our highest rated rookie, he should probably be around 77? T. Smith will probably be around 74 the rest of our guys should be low 70s high 60s. I am of course guessing on our ratings, but like I said I hated it on madden 09/2010 when everyone ended up with ratings above 85, 08 was the worse, you had FA sitting in the pool in the 80s because every team was stacked because the rookies were in the 80s starting out.

Madden 2011 did alright to combat the high rating issue, but its still a lingering thing, I think 2012 looks even more promising with the traits, and week by week, hot and cold spells from players. I also think I read something about rookies will now have ?? as ratings? You actually have to play with them and work with them to learn if they're worth keeping or not.

That's partially true. It's part of the new scouting system, but there won't be any "??" ratings in the actual season itself, only preseason.

What really surprised me was the Linebackers and how Brooks Reed was only a 69 and that Von Miller didn't get a 80. The Defensive Line and WR ratings surprised me, I mean especially Da'Quan Bowers who got a 74 and Clayborn who got a 78, wow is Tampa going to be a good team to play with in Madden. Great to see that AJ Green & Julio Jones stand out compared to the rest of the receivers, but Greg Little has a better rating than Torrey Smith who was taken a pick after him?

Ya how the bleep is casey mathews a 71 overall and better than Brooks Reed? Mathews was a 4th round pick I believe. That is just ridiculous IMO.

What do you think? I think they're fair. Jimmy will actually play a lot better than his 76 overall rating because his important traits are all around 90, but his awareness is 43 or something so he'll be very good at coverage and stuff but just extrememly unaware.

Do they adjust the players ratings again before the game is released?
