What about Torrey Smith and Jimmy Smith? lols Now all the confusion has gone away, its why we smart human beings came up with first names to go with last names. If those Smith boys want to earn nicknames like C-Mac they gotta earn them on the field.
great point!

Well, I'm hoping that their performance during the season will gain them some nicknames.

For Torrey Smith I'm going to steal something from our "friend" Santonio Holmes. We all know Holmes is sometimes referred to as the "Ravens Killer". After he makes some huge plays that beat the Steelers, I will call Torrey the "Steelers Killer".

Jimmy Smith, to me, comes down to two names: either "The Black Hole" or "The Bermuda Triangle", because he's going to make WRs disappear on the field.

If Jimmy Smith is as good as we hope I like that one. Better than Revis Island.

I kinda like "Scarface" for Jimmy. I like "Microwave" for Torrey. Microwave is one of my all time favorite nicknames. Props to Vinnie Johnson.

I couldn't agree more, although one can be inspired to a nickname for a player while out for a walk. I have had this happen to me some years ago when I was out for a walk in 2001. I was volunteering my services as public address announcer for my local middle school basketball and football teams, and came up with a nickname for one of the players during this walk.

Ah, well, we can give the players in question their nicknames, provided those players have earned them on the field - where it counts.

Aren't Torrey and Jimmy already technically nicknames since they're both named James? How about Jimmy "The Lock" Smith. WR's can't break out of this locksmith's lock..

Can we just steal Terrel Davis' nickname for Tandon Doss? I want our own "TD". They'll be saying that all the time when he gets the ball anyway.

I like Microwave for Torrey Smith because everyone (including myself) knocks his small hands and he was the Microwave King. Could even tie in a signature fan celebration with either a mexican wave or a Purple Wave like this:
