Doss is another TJ Housh. He's that guys that will excel in the slot like a TJ or Kelley Washington did for us. That big body, almost 2nd TE on a play for Joe to make easy completions to.

I really like how this draft has gone thus far.

Watched the vids. Nice route running. Those comebacks look like Mason but this guy is bigger and has amazing hands and SPEED. Wow he looks like he may have been a BIG STEAL!

Houshmandzadeh was in the slot a lot last season but he lined up outside the hashes for most of his career and I think Doss can do the same.

I love Mason, but I really wouldn't mind if he decided to retire just about now.
I would personally prefer it

He reminds me of TJ too. I had a feeling we were going to draft another wr and im glad we went with a big reciever with great hands. I am confident that him (and torrey) will develope into starters. I was hoping we would get some good young wrs to grow with flacco and i'm happy we snagged tandon doss.

Man this guy looks like a beast. Did you see his one-handed catch on youtube? And he has great hands so he won't drop a pass on a key down in a key game.

This draft definitely catered to Flacco. He now has 2 quality WRs from the draft, a OT, and a fb/rb. I wish we had grabbed a OLB....

Yup no more excuses for Flacco... not to mention Dickson and Pitta will be in their second years.

No offense, but getting tired of hearing this. What does he need to make excuses for, consistently getting better?

He still doesn't throw consistently over the middle, holds onto the ball too long, doesn't throw receivers open, runs out of bounds for a sack instead of throwing it away, etc. He's got a lot to learn yet. I think this will be his breakout year.

I agree, D-Rey. If anything it means no excuses for Cam Cam.
I agree, but Joe's gotta step up and take control.

Doss ran a 4.63 at his pro day.

Here is a quote from 1winningdrive on twitter

"Eric DeCosta gave Joe Flacco a list of 6 wide receivers who would go in the middle rounds to get his opinion on who he liked. It was Doss."
He would have ran faster had he not still been recovering from his hip injury.

Probably a flat 4.5 guy

I think this will be Joe's year. He already started stepping up last year voicing his opinions, but now he has tandon Doss, a WR that he actually wanted. And he also got Torrey Smith. I don't want to see any DB's go unblocked on a blitz. Oher also has to try and step up at LT because I think they predicted Reid will be RT.

I like this pick. I still would have rather drafted a defensive lineman or LB. Oh well, in Oz we trust.

Flacco influenced this pick

I disagree with whoever said Doss was a special teams guy. Doss to me is much more polished than Torrey Smith. I expect him to be higher than Torrey on the depth chart but there should be specific plays for Torrey and his speed (although Torrey has more potential). I also hope Cameron uses these new weapons instead of using the very vanilla offense that got us booted from the playoffs.

Doss is an excellent value pick. I don't anticipate him getting a lot of playing time on offense early. They'll work him along sorta like the Steelers did with their young guys last year. What Doss does provide is solid depth if something would happen to Mason and/or Boldin.

Todd McShay said that Doss may have the best hands in the draft outside of A.J. Green. The Ravens added a burner in Torrey Smith and a posession receiver in Doss. Fantastic job Ravens!

we're deep in the DL and LB positions, i think the oz should of drafted some OL especially the interior OL

Dude, get over yourself. If Flacco says he's elite, then he better play elite, meaning top 3 or 5, not top 11.

I love this pick for various reasons, many of them have already been mentioned. A couple that may not have been discussed: If I remember reading correctly, Doss played through sports hernia last year and was still productive, this is a tough, physical receiver. I also have a friend who informed me she went to high school with Doss in Indiana where he was the star of their team and an absolute stand up and likeable guy. I think Doss could be our #2 receiver of the future and his exceptional hands and good knowledge of the proverbial route tree will allow him to easily contribute right away

There weren't any excuses for Flacco last year. He can't controll all the key drops that his WRs had last season. It wasn't like Flacco didn't get those guys the ball, they just had uncharacteristically drops.

Don't listen to people like Charley Casserly, Flacco showed he's a good as any QB in the NFL in his decision making.

Flacco will be so much better this year, because all of our WR/TE compliment each other and compliment Joe as well.

You do know that the Ravens signed about 4 or 5 offensive lineman before the lockout right? I don't believe any of those guys have more then 2 years experience, so it's almost like they are late round draft picks.

But I think only one of those guys is a C/OG

Best hands in the draft + Consistent route running, only thing he lacks is elite speed but he will catch anything underneath or up the seam. TBH I see him being the better WR than Torrey Smith.

You're not alone. As much as I love Mase, if he, Housh, and Stalls are all gone next year, it will force us to use our young guys so we can finally see what they can do. The last young receiver that got any kind of PT at all was, of course, Clayton.

Actually, it was Demetrius. He stayed relatively healthy his rookie season.
