Tandon Doss

"Doss has the size and speed measurables, hands, savvy, and mentality to develop into a starting NFL wide receiver and potentially a go-to guy. Gets open underneath with polished route-running and good quickness. Eats up cushions in a hurry with elite burst off the line, has the straight-lined speed to get vertical, and the ball skills to track the football. Can make some plays in space. Very willing and productive over the middle and can catch the ball in a crowd. Hard-working, mature player who lets his play on the field do his talking. Doss is an early second round prospect." - NFL.com (draft tracker)

Looks like the Ravens wants to build depth at the WR spot...Mason getting older and only has a year left I think.

I like this pick. I still would have rather drafted a defensive lineman or LB. Oh well, in Oz we trust.

Yeah, I was thinking we'd draft one by now..I guess they think Kindle is going to come back at full strength and guys like Paul Kruger are going to step up. Kruger has made plays the limited time he's been given and Ellerbe if he can stay our of dog house.

This Doss guy is 6'2", Torrey is 6'1" and both have speed...Flacco is smiling real big right about now.

First off let me say. The next time you copy and paste from an article please provide a Link.

I really like this pick, though. It's more of a future pick then a pick for this year, but it has the potential to work out greatly.

As your overview from NFL.com said, he has the size and speed you want, and he also uses it to go over the middle unlike some other big bodied guys we've had.

I like the overall direction of this draft and i think we're doing a great job.

i meant to put nfl.com in there just forgot...yeah he'll be a special teamer right away probably but i doubt he gets on the field much unless he really is polished like they say he is..then maybe only if someone gets hurt.

Him and Torrey Smith will need to step it up at the NFL level for us to be able to do what we haven't been able to do, beat the Steelers. They don't have great corners and these two can run. In Oz we trust.

No problem man, just don't want anyone to accuse you of stealing.

As for Doss, here's a video of Todd McShay speaking highly of him

I really like this guy but his 40 time is kinda slow, he runs a 4.64 40 which is TE speed but he got one of the best hands in the draft and is tough as a brickwall.

Above Average WR, which means Sergio might be back.

Solid pickup. A lot of draftnicks had him as a second or third round prospect, so to get him at this point in the draft is a steal. I said after the Steelers playoff loss that I didn't care about the size of the receivers, just get the guy with the best HANDS in the draft. Looks like the front office was thinking the same thing.

I heard he had an injured hip when he ran the 4.6 40 so he should be faster when he's healthy.

Yeah I saw Harbaugh's interview on ESPN. He said they were disappointed about the Bears mess up and that Doss was one of Joe's guys. Kindle must be healthy.

I love that Flacco is voicing his opinion so much he is really growing as our Franchise QB. Doss seems like our kind of a receiver. This catch was real sick and a play similar to what we might do

Either they're hoping someone falls in this draft or Kindle is healthy.

Either way, after Mason leaves we are set with Boldin, Smith, Doss, and Reed.

I like this pickup, a lot of pundits had him rated as one of the premiere WRs in the draft (although obviously a step below the best of the best). Would be nice if he could develop quickly into a started, but I think it'll take a while. When it does happen I know we'll be happy with him. And I know he will help greatly with ST for now.

Yeah I was re-youtubin' david reed highlights.. and he looks more solid upon further review.. and FAST. So we have a solid Anquan, and Mason. And then, add Smith, Reed, and Doss (a guy FLACCO wanted), and we look great on paper. I hope Flacco gets the new WR's together in arizona with heap, Q, harper, and the other guys, because it would not be good to have them start praticing with lack of training camps.

Nice to see we won't have to worry about our skill positions on offense for a LONG time. Mason is one of my favorite players in the entire NFL but I hope Reed, Smith, or Doss end up replacing him somewhere down the line during the season.

I'm impressed by everything I've heard, and hey - its a passing league now. That's how you beat the Steelers. Hope the inferences about Kindle are true, although its all speculation atm. McShay really had him ranked high! Surprising he lasted this long based on what I've read and heard. Looks like good drafting.

Doss is just flat out sick. Him and Torrey Smith going down field is going to be deadly.

I was waiting and hoping that either Tandon Doss or Brandon Burton would fall to our pick when I saw them both I figured we would get Doss.

Doss ran a 4.63 at his pro day.

Here is a quote from 1winningdrive on twitter

"Eric DeCosta gave Joe Flacco a list of 6 wide receivers who would go in the middle rounds to get his opinion on who he liked. It was Doss."

I love Mason, but I really wouldn't mind if he decided to retire just about now.

That's what I said. I like drafting Doss now, but I'd really love us getting Doss if Mason retired no disrespect.

I love how crisp his routes are and his hands are great too, he reminds me of Garcon on the colts. He'll be a great safety valve for flacco.
