Lockout Lifted

14 posts in this topic

Judge Susan Nelson has lifted the lockout, which is good news. The bad news is the NFL is expected to appeal. Let's see if anything results from this.

If nothing else, it gives the players some leverage. Hopefully, that may be enough for the two sides to end their silly arguments and get this taken care of.

Leverage at the very least should give the players more bargaining power, hopefully resulting in less of a stalemate, at the least.

Just realized we have 2 Threads on this... Mods Merge the two so we can have it in one place.

So I would have to think the League would have to allow Free Agency to begin because wouldn't they be in violation of the ruling made by Judge Nelson?

Crossing my fingers that there isn't a stay on this ruling. Might finally light a fire under everyone involved to get this thing done!

Per just-received ESPN mobile alert:

"Judge who lifted lockout gives players until 10 am Wednesday to reply to NFL's motion for a stay."

Next step, I suppose.

Yep that is the next step followed by the Appeals Court.

The NFL is being hypocrites, how can they sit here and say you are allowed to trade 2012 Picks but telling teams to be cautious about it but yet they don't have the sense to tell teams that they can sign players but to be cautious about it???

I just want some Free Agency happening tonight, or tomorrow or during the day before The Draft!
