Maybe the teams are already testing the waters with him? Who knows. But that's an interesting move from the players' side. The owners better think of something quickly, or they're in deeper 'n' ever.

I don't know but to me it makes sense. Lockout is lifted and that should mean the new League Year begins and Free Agency is open and teams could sign players, and if the league doesn't allow it they are in violation of the ruling, it makes sense to me.

Adam Schefter tweeted this response when he was asked if teams could trade players:

"NFL is telling teams no. NFLPA says yes. Judge Nelson, then Court of Appeals, have final say."

Wow well at least 1 team allowed players to work out and talk to the coaches!

The New York Giants have let players work out at the facility and players have been in contact with coaches as well.
Canty confirmed to Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger that he was allowed to work out at the team facility when he arrived Tuesday.
I commend the Giants for this but also for the fact that they aren't asking for money from their Season Ticket Holders until the Lockout dispute is over! Very Classy move by the Giants!

I am so tired of Roger Goodell saying that collective bargaining and negociating is what needs to be done in order to make a deal. It hasn't worked, why should I believe it will work later? I believe there will be a season, but probably because the courts will work something out.

You may be right, here is what a memo that was sent out by the NFLPA:
NFLPA attorney Mark Levin sent out a memo to all players Tuesday informing them that free agents may begin negotiating with teams immediately.
I was watching NFLNetwork and during commercial break they had a segment and NFL Network analyst Jason La Canfora said following
"There is not a crystal clear understanding of what can and cannot happen at a team facility. Teams are not 100% sure that they will be safe from any consequences. NFLPA will need to send out a detailed memo notifying all 32 franchises of what can and cannot be allowed to happen when each Franchises's players begin to arrive at their respective facilities."
Nelson won't stay the injunction and if her opinion truly is appeal proof I don't see why we couldn't theoretically have free agency and player trades as early as tomorrow evening...

I don't whether or not you guys have seen this yet.

NFL players were told they couldn’t work out at their team facilities on Tuesday, so 20 Miami Dolphins held practice on their own.

Several starters on offense and defense including quarterback Chad Henne participated in agility drills, before the “skill” players broke out for an extra hour of passing drills.

Tackle Jake Long, a team captain, held a few papers in his hand as he instructed players on the type of agility drills to run. Players got into single-file lines, following Long’s instructions as if he were a coach.
Let's Hope so... but man I tell you what, these top draft picks are probably going to be hoping for no Free Agency since it would effect their stock(most likely Cam Newton since if the Panthers find a Veteran QB they won't being taking Newton and that means he will lose money, which I'm sure his dad will find a way to make up for it)

Whats the probability that free agency begins tonight or tomorrow before draft?
All we can do is hope.... and to put it the way CM Punk does just have Faith that it will happen.

The Judge is suppose to announce her ruling on the stay tonight so I'm guessing depending on things, Free Agency actually could start at Midnight.

Well judge also said she would make decision by Monday Morning and we didn't get it until late afternoon.

So tonight to her must mean tomorrow morning or very late tonight.

I know, this judge is wasting too much time. She needs to make her ruling when she says, I'm interested in what the chaos would be if Free Agency started tonight.

Well Im sure McNabb and Redskins will get offers, Asomugha will be getting calls. Aqib talib may get some interest. Even Randy Moss and Braylon Edwards could get interest.

Yeah totally but see not only do I want Free Agency to happen because well it needs to happen, but second I wanna see how it would effect the draft just 1 day before it begins and who would have the biggest fall because a team was able to fill a need elsewhere in Free Agency.

Good point.
I think FA could allow high rated prospects to fall down board and Ravens could sit there with a watery mouth

I don't see how the NFL can tell players/teams that they can't start Free Agency etc.

If you went to court and lost you wouldn't be able to turn around and say "No, I'm ignoring your decision and carrying on in exactly the same way as before.", so I don't see why the NFL is getting away with it.

Exactly, Aso should be signed by now, we should be hearing rumors of where McNabb may go, etc. By not allowing it they are in violation of the ruling like I said before.

Raiders rumored to have interest in FA WR Mike Sims-Walker and Sidney Rice. Jason la canfora said to not be shocked too see 1 of them be signed by Raiders immediately if free agency begins.

How epic is this draft going to be if Free Agency starts on the same day?

I understand what you're saying, but GM's would probably like to know whether or not they will have operate under a salary cap, whether there is a "final 8" rule (or whatever it's called) and things like that before they commit to new contracts.

I'm guessing what might be holding this up is that she is going to keep the Lockout Lifted and she has already told the league and the NFL is writing out the rules for Free Agency.

So why cant free agency start right away after her decision. Why wait for tonight?
This is what I have been saying, nothing is preventing teams from talking to players and agents about signing with their team now that the lockout is lifted. I guess teams are just waiting to be sure Free Agency will happen before making any moves.

You may be right as it's almost 8PM and still nothing. All I know is if Free Agency happens and teams sign players throw out every Mock Draft and start over lol.

No Need to find her.

She has made her ruling and is denying NFL Request to put Stay on the Lockout Ruling.
The NFL “has not met its burden for a stay pending appeal, expedited or otherwise.”
