Hartwell Released

Whatever happened to the guy who years ago said that he would outplay Ray? Hartwell just got released. Again. By the Raiders. To make room for a backup Punter.

Yeah he was a maniac. He even started saying that he had more tackles than Ray had when we were in the 3-4 and that offensive coordinators usually try to stop HIM and game plan around HIM instead of Ray.

According to NFL.com, he's only played in 13 games since leaving the Ravens after 2004.

That means, in the past three seasons, he hasn't even played a full season's worth of games. If he doesn't catch on with a team before mid-season, the streak will probably extend to FOUR seasons without even touching 16 games.

Just goes to show that Ozzie & Co. knew more about him than even most of us fans knew.

well he was good when he was here as an OLB...as a 2nd leading tackler

and had some good games in atlanta...but never as good as Ray

Let's not forget Adalius Thomas. He didn't have a bad season last year, but he was far from the game-changer he was when he was with us.

AD does not do half of the stuff he did here. He is on that super star mode now. When he was here he played special team, LB, DE, DT, CB and whatever else was needed of him. He is still a very good player, he just is in a different defensive system I guess.


As for Hartwell he went to the ATL for that super star like Ray Lewis like contract and did nothing but get fat. His play since leaving B-More has gone from something to nothing fast! Sometimes as a player you have to know your role and that is it! Know your role. Hartwell had it confused, teams were scheming 52 and sendind a lot of plays his way and not the other way around.

Add Hartwell to a list of idiots that left for a big payday but couldnt survive without Ray next to them. Scott was smart enough to take a paycut to stay. Suggs needs to get with the program.
