Steelers fans are making a bigger deal out of it than it really is. The primary reason the Ravens put in the request is because more primetime games in the rivalry have been played in Pittsburgh than in Baltimore. That's an uneven distribution, and the NFL has only recently taken that into consideration as of last season, slotting a Ravens-Steelers game in Baltimore on Sunday Night Football last year.

It is, I mean we got our Prime Time Games in Baltimore against the Steelers, so now we are going back to Pittsburgh to balance things out. Seems like whoever wrote this took this story from last year and re wrote it to get the Steelers fans all riled up and get him/her a bunch of page views.

"Asking not to play in Pittsburgh at night" sounds suspiciously like "asking to play at home at night", which I'm pretty sure is on every team's agenda.

Old news. Been over it. Teams send in their preferences for who/when they want to play every season. Not a big deal. The Cowboys hand-selected us to be the last opponent in Texas Stadium.

EDIT: Also found it funny that the crock "reporter" who wrote that crap article misspelled "afraid". Don't understand why brilliant, thought-out testimony from Steelers fans is necessary, either. Obviously someone doesn't take their work very seriously.

Actually this story is two years old I think. I really think Ravens-Steelers should be a 1pm game and should all our home games lol
For two seasons in a row, the Ravens have traveled to Heinz Field to play night games against the Steelers and left losers.
They didn't even bother to update it.

Last season we both won our road games, ours was during the day and their's at primetime...

You only say that 'cause it's more convenient for you! :P

Though, I agree. If only because 1pm games are more convenient for me, too. :D

If you guys look at the top of the page right underneath the title, it says: "Posted: 9:52 EDT March 23, 2009." Old news.

Yeah, looks like they just put the date up there - it wasn't there, earlier. I guess Steeler fans need something to talk about.

They needed something to make them feel better after they've been crying about their Super Bowl loss. I think we all, as Ravens fans, should reach out to our enemies in this tough time. If you see a Steeler fan in need, offer him a piece of cheese...

thanks! i went back and saw that it said; "Posted: 9:52 pm EDT March 23, 2009"

so this article is 2 years old and yet the Steeler fans are digging it up again just to try to motivate the players as well as themselves to get geared up to face the Ravens in Baltimore in their week 1 matchup? lol!

pathetic!

Unfortunately steeler fans don't realize that the only reason we asked that 2 years ago was because we wanted a home prime time game against them. A classic case of fans running with something without know the whole story.

This is an old story. The request was made prior to the 2010 season. Why? Because at that time every prime time game vs the Steelers was at Heinz field. It was a request along the lines of "hey, how about a MNF game IN Baltimore?". Basically, it was made because as usual, the NFL scheduling gods were giving the Ravens the shaft. If Steeler fans are CURRENTLY going gaga over this, well, then, guess they need to join 2011.
