What Is The Deal With Shaun Alexander?

23 posts in this topic

I heard he may become a free agent, can anyone verify this? Maybe he already is, I heard it a few weeks ago. What do you all think of him coming here?

Can't you be happy with Lorenzo Neal

I am, I heard them talking about the possibility of him coming here on ESPN 1300, that's the only reason I made the thread. I'm not for or against it, because I do not what shape he is in, or if he would be worth it.

Ill pass on Alexander. He kinda seemed like a 1 year wonder kinda guy. He didnt carry it through with him the next time it counted.

Without Steve Hutchinson Alexander got the crap beat out of him. He neve was a power back. More of a Denver type change direction & speed guy.

Said it all right there.

Basically, Shaun Alexander was too dependent on the talent around him, to really be a proven top-tier back. He's struggled to stay on the field recently, and he just simply isn't the same RB that won the league MVP award and went to the Super Bowl.

He's definitely past his prime. I'm sure he'll end up on a team, but he will never be close to what he was when Seattle went to the Super Bowl. I don't think we need him here.

We have Willis McGahee and Ray Rice along with others who are younger and can actually have a chance to see their prime. Rather then being passed their prime.. Ill stick with who we have right now.

If you read what I wrote you would realize I am clearly not nuts. I heard of it on the radio and thought it could be a decent topic to post about. I don't know enough of him these days to know what he is, or is not capable of.

if you even think of a possibility of having SA here you are misguided.

the answer is obvious..no

everyone kept saying he would have a "rebirth year"...i was the only one who said he wouldnt..and i was right

Shaun got his money and lost his passion for the game, that's what happened to him, and there is no room for that on this team...

The only way I would want to see Shaun Alexander is if he going to take a I have to prove myself low ball contract. That is it ! Come here and prove you can still play!

Lets not have him replace Cory Ross. Id rather keep Ross then bring in SA because he just does it for money now. He doesnt play with passion for the game. If he played like Ray Lewis and Lorenzo Neal and had a great work ethic then yea. Id want him with us. But all he wants is money.

1 word for him

PASS
