The Ravens open the 2011 season at home vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers (1:00 PM).

Baltimore will play four prime-time games, including a Thanksgiving night matchup at M&T Bank Stadium vs. the San Francisco 49ers. The game will mark the first time in NFL history that two brothers square off against each other as head coaches.

In their other three nationally-televised games, the Ravens will take on the New York Jets at home (Sun, Oct. 2), play a Monday Night game at the Jacksonville Jaguars (Oct. 24) and travel to San Diego to play the Chargers (Sun, Dec. 18).

Only one MNG? @Steelers is Prime Time again, in Baltimore is a reg early game? At least there are some Sunday Night Games for the Ravens. The Schedule seams to be ok...but i can`t understand that they don`t put Ravens vs. Steelers late in the Season so we may have a showdown for the AFC-North titel.

I love the schedule. It looks like a VERY balanced schedule in terms of home and road distribution, and you can't sneeze at FIVE primetime games (6 including the preseason) with two of them played at home in the regular season. Additionally, forcing the Steelers to come to Baltimore early would be an early salvo in the war of attrition in the AFC North, regardless of the outcome of that game; both teams will beat each other up while they're still relatively healthy, and they'll presumably be playing at full-strength. This could be the first Steelers-Ravens match-up in a long time where both teams have all of their stars playing (barring preseason injuries).

The Patriots play both the Steelers and the Colts the week before we play those teams. I like that. Also the Jets have to fly to Oaklank the week before visiting Baltimore. Can you say Jet-Lag.

I think the league wanted to put Ravens-Steelers on Monday night in Week 1, but couldn't because the Orioles play on Monday. Looking at the MNF match-ups each week, it probably came down to other match-ups being more attractive or the league wanting to showcase other teams that don't normally get the primetime spotlight.

great schedule. last year we got <hit hard> with those tough early road games. all of our home games were so easy, buffalo, miami, tampa, denver, browns, bengals. and all the road games were tough, jets, pats, steelers, falcons. good job NFL

I don't want to open up our schedule with Pittsburgh, I'd rather have an easy win to make sure we're in the right mindset before facing our greatest enemy. The schedule definitely looks pretty good though, and as someone who had to listen to the majority of the games on the online radio broadcast it's nice to see the Ravens will be on national TV a lot. If we can't get to the playoffs for the fourth straight year when we're going against the NFC West we have some serious problems.

The Schedule looks pretty nice. Not a fan of opening wk 1 vs the steelers. But if Joe and Harbs can get that first big win with big ben at the helm .. it would sure give us some momentum. Dont even wanna think if we loose that one. I Hate that week 5 Bye Wk, Its just way too early imo.

Was it three years ago we were forced to take our bye in week one because of the hurricane in Houston? That sucked.

I love the fact that we facing the Steelers Wk 1 at home at that. All that trying to put it off till the end of the season or hoping we face a injury plagued Steelers squad, screw that, let's see what we got vs them with both teams being 100%, that's the true test of a Championship squad right there. All this talk of hoping we face the Colts Wk 17 so maybe all their starters are out so we can get an easy win is sickening, definitely not the Ravens way or someone winning it all way.
