Holy Blackhawk. So much for Luongo playing decent. 6 goals by him! 7 goals total.

Too bad for the Hawks, as it is a bit to late.

I didn't expect Hawks to get sweeped but a rout like that was what I feared. Bolland sure made a difference tonight - 4 points and shutting down the twins to 1 point and a minus-5 rating.

Wow, that was a vicious hit.

So what is your opinion on the Downie/Kunitz suspensions?

I didn't see any replays of the Downie hit on Lovejoy but Downie left his feet. I did see replay of Kunitz's elbow to Gagne's head and I just cringed. All I could think of was Simon's injury history with us. I'm not really sure how Kunitz can say that was accidental....is it really possible to get an elbow THAT high accidentally in that situation?

Both suspensions were certainly warranted... you just can't leave your feet or hit someone in the head. Period.

Oh I agree...but only one game each? Ok...Cooke's a bad example since he is a repeat offender...

I happened to flip to ESPN's OTL one Sunday recently....program on the Pee Wee hockey leagues and how the little kids are going after each other like that. If the little kids are learning it and hurting each other, the culture will never change and the NHL will always have this problem.

If this wasn't the playoffs, I'd say at least 3 games each, but 1 game of a 7-game series is pretty significant.

That's basically what the guys on Versus said last night. I am still not sure I agree with it. But I'm not making the rules.

OMG.......I almost went ballistic....was going to say if Carcillo was the only one to get a penalty out of that BS....

And as far as the 'Hawks are concerned, they proved that desperation can be fuel for good things. It's going back to Vancouver though...the 'Hawks' heroics might be too little too late.

:wootwoot: OMG the Flyers just killed off a FIVE MINUTE MAJOR!!!! YES!

Lol...the boos are raining down on the Sabres. That was the most pathetic power play I've seen all series!

That's good they killed it off, but they are running out of time to put one in the back of the net.

Glad to see Tampa tie Pitt up late. Home ice will win in this one.

True. And Miller coldstoning Briere didn't help either. Flyers have to start getting a little desperate...

Ok.....quit with the scrumming. Game's over, guys.

Good game. Miller was super sharp. Back to Philly.

Home is where the heart is. But heres to hoping Miller found his groove like Stella.

Will the 'Hawks have enough tonight?
I'm hoping the Hawks pull off another big win. Man would that get in the head of the Nucks.

Also hoping Montreal pulls off another win against Boston. I think the Caps match up much better against the Canadians than they did last year. I'd rather face them than Pittsburgh.

Looks like the Canucks are in for an emotional ride. 3-0 Hawks. This could begin a psyche issue.

Luongo has to be hurt. I know he came off as being injured the other night. He just isn't the same. Make that 4-0 LOL. Luongo got pulled. He's now in his normal <crapping> the bed in the playoffs routine. Hurt or not.

This is getting extremely ugly.

5-0.

Last two games could prove to be huge momentum shifts for the Hawks. They might be able to pull off a 4 game streak against the Canucks.

They're using my Flyers as inspiration. The 'Hawks are starting to make a believer out of me. If Luongo gets his juju back though, it might be a tough prospect....then again, the Flyers didn't have that series against Boston last year easy either.

Is Montreal/Boston the Ravens/Steelers of the NHL?

think on it: the players don't like each other. The fans don't like each other.

Going to be at the Caps game tomorrow, anyone else?

Hope the Caps finally put it away, too many years we've entered the playoffs and let each round drag out to 7 games, which leaves us banged up and not playing so hot by the next round

Noooo way, the Bruins are Raven/Steeler like but the Habs are not at all physical. I would say the Pens/Flyers is the closest to Steelers/Ravens in the NFL. Just take a look at past playoff matchups between the two, even the regular season games are almost playoff like.

Caps need to get the best of 7 mentality out of their head, its not a best of seven, she's a race to 4.

Yeah...really didn't think of that and I should have for obvious reasons :D :34853_doh: . Darn those teams from Pittsburgh (thanks Sizz ).

Man heck with the Caps...wish I could teleport myself to Philly tonight.
