The scene looks like College Park when Maryland: 1) Win or loses to Duke in basketball, 2) wins the Natl Championship. Minus the nightsticks and riot shield beatings, of course.

With the Bruins winning the Stanley Cup, Boston has become the first sports city in the 21st century to have all four of its professional sports teams win a championship (done in a 10-year period, 2001-2011).

You know you have a good sports town, when the Partriots hold the longest drought for a championship.

Very disappointed in the Canucks... they showed no heart or passion at HOME. Pathetic.

I, too, am disappointed in the Canucks' performance in Game Seven. I have to believe that Boston's first goal in the game took the confidence right out of them.

I am also disappointed in the Vancouver fans in regard to the post-game riot. I was not expecting a riot after the game.

Along with Daniel Sedin's Game 7 guarantee, read this: http://articles.boston.com/2011-06-12/sports/29650472_1_canucks-parade-broadcast-rights

Even having the crowd behind them the whole game they played like snails the entire game. They moreso watched rather than played the game. With that said, they didn't want it enough and didn't deserve to win.

Fun fact, both teams had 17 Canadian players on each team. with Boston dressing a lot more starting Canadians. We're lucky because we get the Cup regardless.

I talked to a friend in Vancouver who was one of the many fans in the streets for the game. Vancouver is a pretty embarrassed and ashamed city today...

Will never be a Bruins' fan but I am really really happy for Tim Thomas. I'll be really surprised if he doesn't nab the Vezina to go along with all the other hardware.
