Make that TWO interceptions for #31, Fabian Washington!.... His presence is going to be missed more than we thought for that first Bengals game

P.S. Did you see Corey Ivy carry him off of the field? That was crazy!

For a 4th round traded pick - the Wizard of Oz outdid himself! GREAT PICK UP for the team! We definitely addressed our depth problem from last year in our secondary w/ Fabian & Frank on the team! :D

Yea, Washington is playing great in this game. Same for Walker to.

Another thing is our secondary looks better so far.

Yeah, our lack of depth at the cornerback postition was very evident last year. I hope Chris McAllister and Samari Rolle can find a way to stay healthy this year, but if (or when) one of them goes down it won't be the end of the world. I believe Fabian Washington can be effective but WHO IS BETTER??? Corey Ivy or Frank Walker???

i have all kinds of respect for rolle but if washington outplays him in preseason, i say we give him the nod at starting CB

Yeah, but either way Rolle is starting vs. the Bengals due to the league-imposed single-game suspension because Fabian violated the NFL's personal conduct policy =/

that is true and i respect that....i say we just play the nickel or dime defense so all of our good d-backs can play. haha

He did look really good. I hope he will be challenging Rolle for the starting spot so we can get a good competition going there. Rolle has struggled alot in the past couple of years. It seems like teams throw at him on every play when him and cmac are in, and rightfully so, because CMAC is a beast.

Just keep in mind about Washington, he did look really good but he was playing against 3 back ups. I know 1 of the INT was a terrible pass that was thrown way behind the reciever. It did take some instinct on Fabian's part to jump to the ball, but it was a terrible pass.

I think all of our starting corners will look good this year if he can pressure the QB like we did the hole game. I think the main reason the corners looked so well is the pressure Bannan was putting on the QB like every single play. Not just Bannan but everyone, i think we blitzed about 75% of the plays. D looked amazing.. Might I add there weren't hardly any starters in either

It was a preseason game, let's not get crazy now. He was playing Matt Cassel and Chad Jackson, not Tom Brady and Randy Moss. That being said he does have great ball skills. That first interception was very impressive, he jumped the route and made the pick. That second interception was a gimme. The ball was floating like crazy, any cornerback would have made that play. But Fabian will be a force in man coverage, especially with our pass rush.

based on what we all saw from Washington and his performance he put forth in this past game, really says alot about his talent and what he CAN bring to this team. i think with Washington playing the way he did in that last game, it really relieves at least some pressure from the other players on the field out there, in the retro-spect that we do in fact have players with big Play ability that can make the plays necesary and most of all...Consistantly. The Fact that Washington was able to Do it not only one time, but twice in the same game, really says alot about his play making ability, and the amount of effort he Demonstrates out there on the football field.

i dont think that he will necessarily "push" Rolle out/aside and to the sideline, i do however believe that IF....IF Fabian can keep his play making ability on a consistant basis (game after game, week after week) then i would surely expect Ryan to Insert him into the starting lineup in certain Defensive schemes and situations. The Ravens this season have stated that They will incorperate a player into the starting lineup, giving Rolle a little bit of a rest, whoever that may be, The Team have stated that They intend to use Rolle more so in certain Defensive schemes (using him more so in the nickel formation and such) allowing Rolle to play as well as getting the younger guy in there, makes for both sides being happy and the fact that we dont have to sacrifice athletic ability for age, is another plus side to this looming equation that has presented itself.

I have to agree, lets see how they do against the likes of TJ and 85

He's a vet, he should be fine. Great talent, just hasn't had a great year. Obviously, I'm hoping this is that year.
