Ya I mean I understand why people are mad on the surface with trading down and taking Kindle, and then Kindle almost killing himself but really if you analyze the move it was actually a very shrewd move. He traded down giving us our impact TE of the future in Dickson, and our #2 TE in Pitta to help run an Ace formation and help blocking schemes against the Steelers. Kindle was a top 15 talent in the entire draft last year and Ozzie gambled on him. I can't fault Ozzie for gambling on pick #43 on a guy who without his drinking problem would have gone top 15. Ozzie gambled and so far lost, but I'd rather take that chance on Kindle than go with a guy like Koa Misi for him to be the future at LOLB and to get 6 sacks a season.

Personally, I think gambling is too strong of a word. The main reason Sergio fell imo was the possible issue with his knee, which turned out too be a non factor.

And ferreal, I don't call a guy in his early 20's that got drunk one night at a party a gamble. A large portion of those guys drink, and imo he did absolutely nothing wrong, he got drunk and went to bed. Just because he accidently fell down some stairs sheds no light on any character issues or "problems" he might have had.

Its just sad to see the kid's poor luck. The good news is if he heals up he still has a very bright football career ahead of him.

Well there were other teams that failed his physical, now thats an issue with the quality of doctors and something I can't comment on. Kindle also straight up drove into a house and had a DUI in 2007, followed with a DUI in 2010. Thats 3 alcohol related incidents for sure with 2 DUIs and the events that led to his skull fracture, with a possible 4th of him running into a house with his SUV and fleeing the scene.

I love him as a player, and still hope he can come back and be the impact player he was very likely to be. Now Im not saying he was the biggest gamble of all time in the draft, but he was abit of a gamble without a doubt in my eyes. Its one thing to drink, but its another thing to drink and make continual mistakes.

Was it really two DUI's? I heard it was one DUI and one where he was texting or something like that.

And I agree it was somewhat of a gamble, but labeling him a gamble solely on his drinking issues is a bit strong in my opinion, especially when falling down the stairs is really more misfortune than a self-caused mistake.

Ya Baltimore Sun reported the DUI in 2007 and then he has a DUI case pending in 2010 but thats more a formality to figure out his punishment. But as you can tell with my sig I'm a fan of Kindle the player so I hope he's alright and ready to go...even if he's wearing some weird crazy concussion helmet lol.

Signing Josh Wilson is a priority, get him signed ,and we will have the Webb/Wilson show for the next few years....Throw in Cary Williams as our nickle back, and we will be in good shape...Foxworth will be fighting for a backup CB spot.....

Not only is he very talented, but he is also relatively young. He just turned 26 in March, giving him many good years of football left in the tank. Sign him to a long term deal, because he is a keeper.

Frankly both Wilson and Carr are pretty solid corners. With Webb and Foxworth coming back healthy I think we are pretty set at corner. However if we were to lose either Wilson or Carr to free agency, then it is imperative that we draft a tall press corner to complement Foxworth - such as a Jimmy Smith of Colorado if available to us at 26. Ozzie know exactly what to do in any case. We are in safe hands after all folks.

It should be Foxworth on one side and Wilson on the other, with Webb, Carr, and whoever we draft plus whoever was on the practice squad if we kept a cb, i think there was someone else, a young kid who looked good in the preseason, cant remember his name...served a 2 game suspension for something

Wilson is a guy who has uncanny knack for making plays , I want to go to camp to see if the rumor is true , when resting between reps most players have thier playbook open, but rumor is he has his playbook and bible at hand . so that would be Charecter we want and need , he can help mentor the rookies between him and ray I think we may have less issues from rookies this year

imo Wilson is a beast! i absolutely love that cat and appreciate what he has done for our Ravens in such a short time span (i.e. learning the playbook, plays and getting comfortable working on the Ravens defense). plus, i don't know about the rest of you guys/gals but....

i will NEVER FORGET his unbelievable "Walk-Off" pick 6 in OT against the Texans....in Houston.

INCREDIBLE!!

Webb was drafted to be an nickel corner and he proved last year he can't be much more than a nickel corner. Having a solid nickel is important, however i get confused when people feel the need to drop Webbs name in the conversation of corners because if you aren't capable of covering starting WRs then your name shouldn't be in the conversation when you are mentioning CBs. People overrated what Webb did his rookie season covering #3s...Corey Ivy was exceptional at that too. Josh Wilson is a starting CB. He can cover any #2 like Rolle did in his prime. And he can cover a lot of #1s if we are desperate enough. Foxworth is the same caliber as Wilson however he is much less physical...which is why i feel Foxworth should take a paycut and give us back the money we gave him for 2 years of nothing or we drafting a big physical #1 and cut foxworth.

You show your lack of knowledge....Webb was not at 100%, he just returned off knee injury that takes at least a FULL YEAR to get back to 100%...Webb showed his rookie year he could play ball, he had some good games...especially the first time we faced the Steelers, he shut down Mike Wallace

I think his comment on Ivy was more damning than his comment on Webb. Ivy was awful when covering anyone, Lardarius is much better - even when coming off ACL injury.

Webb would be better playing on 2 torn ACLs than Ivy.

(I know it's physically impossible, but I REALLY didn't like Ivy.)

No doubt in my mind that Wilson is our number one cornerback, not just because of his skill but because he can play under pressure, take the Texans game for example. He knew that if he dropped that pick-six he might not get another chance at doing that.

Dont worry, Peyton Manning made sure that NOBODY liked Corey Ivy after we played the Colts in 2007

Carr and Wilson surprised me a lot this year. They didnt give up too many big plays and made a lot of bigger plays. I hope we keep them. Webb is starting to look lost on the field to me. Foxworth and Washington need to prove themselves again.

Hes a must resign, simple as that. He won't be overly expensive, he's 25 and signing him prevents us from having to burn a first day pick on a CB.

I think alot of people have underrated Carrs play last year he was solid even close to shut down. Wilson should be back so really we dont need CB as much as people think we do.

Im fine with this line up:

Foxworth, Wilson, Carr, Webb, and Williams. We need Dline an LB help before CBs. We proved when we got pressure that our CBs were pretty darn good.
