Barry Sanders? He's all of what, 180 pounds? LOL. Yeah, Dawkins hits harder than Ray

Don't judge Dawkins on that Mike Sellars play. Mike Sellars is a bum, he's just big. Brian Dawkins rocked Alge Crumpler (who outweighs him be 50lbs.) in the NFC championship game a couple years ago, and it is one of the most beautiful hits ever, because of the men, talented and peaking, and the situation; NFC championship. It really is a great hit. Plus, Brian Dawkins is a great defender, no doubt about it. He's the type of guy who can bring anybody to the ground in a second. Can cover, tackle, and hit. Please don;t discount Brian Dawkins as a truely great NFL saftey.

Dawkins has good timing i'll give him that but he is nowhere near what he used to be. Doing things like the superman dive and the suplex show you how stupid he is. Way to up your flag count.

dawkins hits harder than lewis

First of Ravens_Pwn12 is just over the age to get a driver's license. That was pretty funny!! LOL. Dawkins hits harder than Ray Lewis. Not even with the running start he gets coming from the Eagles secondary. Ray puts the smash on every body from the TE to the RB to the WR, if you streak across the field naked you might get it to. Ask Eddie George about Ray Lewis. ;)

He got run over. Plain and simple. He wasnt even coming off a block either.

not only ran over but ran over onto his back...and worse he was running at him and it happened

ive seen it happen when they look around for the ball and the back is already in their face when they find him

but if its like that video, its laughable

How was that play stupid? He was in no position to hit him, and an orthodox wrap up tackle would have gained the runner extra yards. That was the best play Dawkins could have made in that situation. Just because it was entertaining doesn't make it stupid.

I'm not gonna say who's the best hitter of all time i haven't been around that long and i don't have film on them but i have never heard of any of the players on the list make the opposing running back refuse to go back into the game like Ray Lewis did in his prime to Corey Dillion who was by no means a soft back. Nor have i heard of them knocking somebody like Jerome Bettis back 3 yards thats a big deal if you ask me. I have never ever heard of a defensive player that hit so hard that he made opposing players not want play football anymore for the rest of the week. So to his credit he may be the hardest hitter to put on pads or he may just be in the ranks with the best but i will tell you one thing while the players that you mentioned might have put fear into others none of them have taken another man's will and passion to play the way Ray Lewis has done.

Okay.. Heres something Ray Lewis has that Brian Dawkins doesnt. Ray Doesnt need a running start to stop RBs that are coming up the mid. If Brian Dawkins can stop whoever is coming without having to run then Ill give it to him. Ray Lewis has stood up many RBs that come up the middle and taken them down after without having to run. Besides he barely has room to run because of how close he is to the line by the time the RB gets the ball.

hey everyone. I was lucky enough to go to the ravens and pats game last week and even more lucky enough to get ronnie prudes gme worn gloves from the game. As they left through the tunnel at the end of the game, he tossed them BOTH to me. As you all remeber he picked off a ball with them earlier that night. I know this is a great collectors piece so if anyone is interested in them, shoot me an email. Thanks
