Anyone catch this? Pretty interesting. A lot of hard hitting for sure. I was pleased to see Ray Lewis at #7. A few more years and Ed Reed might also make the cut B)

I, for the most part, agreed with the list.

My only real beef was having "Night Train" Layne at #2. I don't believe that he should be so high, mainly because the majority of his tackles were clotheslines. Although the clothesline was a legal maneuver in his day, it almost cheapens how "fearsome" he really was, considering how easy it'd be to intimidate ANYONE with a clothesline on the field.

If I could've rearranged the top 5, using the guys on their list:

1) Ronnie Lott

2) Lawrence Taylor

3) Jack Tatum

4) Hardy Brown

5) Dick Butkus

And then I'm fine with the rest of the list (although I wouldn't have put John Lynch at #10, ahead of Ray Nitschke, who didn't even make the cut).

Yes I did get to see The 10 Most Feared Tackler's. it was really good. 52 will rise after he retires.

1. Jack Tatum

2.Ronnie Lott

3.Lawrence Taylor

4.Hardy Brown

5. Ray Lewis(WHY!? Because he is a Baltimore Raven and he will knock your block off)

Remember that hit he put on that Broncos LB a few years ago? it was on CMacs record 107yard kick return.

Ive never seen that sort of body/soul/earth separation in my life.

Sean Taylor should have been on there.

I think he wasn't even given honorable mention because his career was (tragically) too short.

I'm just happy the Cowboys' Roy Williams didn't get a nod, since his tackling "skills" haven't really much to speak of as of late.

(Thank you, horse-collar rule)

Agreed on the Sean Taylor issue, given a few more years he would have been on that list without a doubt. Also agree with Roy Williams, playing fair, the man is an average tackler.

Yeah, "back in the day" (4-5 seasons ago) Roy was a ferocious hitter but the past few years he's been playing like crap, he doesn't even hit people anymore.

LT was greatest LB I think but Harry Carson hit harder. I think Brian Dawkins of the Eagles is one of harder hitters playing as well. I would have him before Sean Taylor.

harry carson did hit harder

LT just ended Theismans career and was a better pass rusher

and by the way,the theisman hit is WAY OVERRATED...because "he took out this guy" is just something fans do when a player gets injured from one of their teams players hit

the most devistating hits i see a player get right up...its the way there hit not the severity

ive heard skins fans use it for todd yoder on that play vs brian dawkins

Although Sean Taylor and Brian Dawkins might be two of the hardest hitters in recent memory, I don't think they should be on an "All-Time" list.

For his first two or so years Roy was hitting like Lott 2.0. Now Im not saying Sean Taylor wasnt a monster hitter because he was but who knows, maybe he could have hit the same sort of slump? he wasnt exactly the hardest worker.

what you laughing about over there little guy, Go watch Brain Dawkins video and that explains it all

Well you must be pretty big if youre calling me little at 330lb. Everyone Dawkins blows up never see him coming, Ray hits people who see him coming. Thats the difference little one.

Ray threw the biggest hit Ive ever seen, it was on Broncos LB Keith Burns on CMacs record 108yard punt return, you can see it on some of his youtube highlight vids.

While youre at it go look at the hit Dawkins puts on Mike Sellers and tell me if that would have happened to Ray.

Id like to see dawkins hit people as hard as you say he can when they see him coming and him and the other guy go 1 on 1.

Comparing safeties and linebackers is kinda difficult.Safeties have more speed most of the time when they hit their opponents and like you guys said, the other guy often does not see him coming. But linebackers have like 50 pounds more muscles on them so it's really tough to compare that.I never played in the offense so I can't really say whoes hits are harder.

When it comes to safeties I think Laron Landry is developing into a bigtime hitter, not quite sure if he's the hardest hitting safety right now....maybe in one or two years.

Do you mean the Redskins Landry (LaRon) or ours (Dawan)? And where did you get that video in your sig? Id like to see it a little bigger hehe

If you want it bigger check on myspace. Go to search for friends and type in Baltimore Ravens.

I remember someone having a whole bunch of different clips.
