Contest For Predicting Ravens Draft Picks

8 posts in this topic

I don't know maybe BR.com has already had a draft contest for the member who guesses the Ravens' draft picks correctly. So wouldn't it be great if BR.com could issue some type of prize for the winner in this, merchandise or ticket to a game, whatever?
The draft contest winner may only go as deep as three rounds because there may be only one member who has the exact first three Ravens' selections. Something like this naturally takes into account any trades or deals the Ravens make during the draft.

Any constructive thoughts?

Moved to the feedback section...

How would it factor in trades?

The so-called contest would include all trades made by the organization during the draft. So your predictions would not be exempt from trades and deals made by the Ravens during the draft.
(If we traded picks one would have to have foresight of this in their draft prediction.)
*The most correct number of consecutive picks wins.

WHAT DOES THE BOARD OR MANAGEMENT OF BR.COM THINK OF SUCH A GENTLEMAN'S CONTEST?

Wow, so someone would have to accurately predict the trade information and the player selections? That seems nearly impossible. Could happen, but with the countless number of possibilities for trade and the huge number of players, it would be pretty tough to narrow down three.

This is a contest; the best man or woman wins. Remember, not 'round' predictions, but 'selection' predictions in the draft. I remember when Boller and Suggs were acquired in draft-day wrangling
and someone correctly won a draft contest for that.

Could BR.com hold such a draft contest?

Everyone guesses on 7 players. (The Ravens, I believe, have 7 total picks.) If the Ravens trade up in the first round and trade away their second-round pick to do that, it does not matter because someone's first guess could have the Ravens first selection correct (even though the Ravens moved up in round one).

I think they already do. Hasn't been announced, yet, but they held one last year - LINK

In that contest, you selected the position of the first player selected, not the actual player.

What does BR.com management think of holding such a draft contest (the details are simple to define) where the winner could get a Ravens' jersey numbered in the player of their choice or a pair of Ravens' tickets to a home game to be decided by the website?
