The Big news from EA sports is..... that we get to vote on the cover athlete like last year. Only this time, it's a 32 player bracket that will determine who will be on the cover. It seems 1 player from each team is represented.

Wow I'm trying to figure out how some of these players were named for this contest, I mean Danny Woodhead to represent the Patriots over Tom Brady???

At least Ray Rice is our representative though I would have put in Joe, Ed or get Ray Lewis on the cover for a second time.

I'd rather not see Rice win it so he and/or the Ravens aren't affected by the Madden Curse. I guess you could say Brees was unaffected by the "curse", but his team got stomped by the 7-9 Seahawks in the playoffs so I'll let you make your own judgments there...

I love how they couldn't think of one player from the Seahawks, so instead they go with "The 12th Man". There are some generally headscratching choices though.

I just hope it isn`t Vick. Everyone lovvveees to be the Eagles and their wildcat package. That doesnt work against the Ravens though! Id like to see my boy ED REED get on the cover, i mean come on missed the first 6 games and still led the league in interceptions!

Truthfully i thought Peyton Hillis was the better player (last season), fanhood aside i voted for him looking at it objectively. Rice needs to stop putting on weight and come back more elusive like he was 2 years ago and leave the physical running to guys like hillis. Either way i'd rather Hillis get injured than Rice next year.

I am voting mostly unbiased but at the same time for some players I'm taking consideration into the Madden Curse...

- Hines Ward: I think we all would vote for him if it meant it cursed the Steelers.

- Peyton Hillis: He was a better player than Rice, that can't be hidden.

- Dwight Freeny: If the Super Bowl Host curse holds up, the Colts should already be cursed but this is just for protection just in case.

Ray Rice didn't make it, so the Ravens are exempt from the curse for another year!

And now, I can vote for whoever and not really care. I'm voting for Aaron Rodgers or Andre Johnson all the way; I like both players and both teams, and would vote for them just so they can get some more recognition (Johnson more than Rodgers, given the exposure the Super Bowl Champs are already getting). Curse or no curse, both players are deserving.

I agree with this. Plus really you don't get an actual roster update until Week 1 of the season anyway because usually the default roster is way off and is horrible.

EA has already release some voting percentages for the second round match ups despite this being the second day for Voting. Here is what they said:

- Patrick Willis is holds a 61% to 39% lead over Hines Ward

- Adrian Peterson is ahead of Phillip Rivers with 55%.

- Aaron Rodgers is cruising ahead of Sam Bradford with 77%.

- Maurice Jones-Drew vs Jamaal Charles is in a Dead heat.

Patrick Willis is the only hope for a Defensive Player to be on the Cover and I'm going to vote for Willis as I think he has deserved it, but I know Aaron Rodgers will be on the Cover.
