Amazon Game Release Date Delivery?

I know we have some Amazon shoppers on here, have a question. I was able to upgrade to Release Date Delivery for Crysis 2 for PC for free. Apparently this means you are guaranteed to get the game on the street release date.

Has anyone done this, and did it work? lol pretty cool shipping option. Its not on all games, only ones they already have in stock ready. Thanks

Yep, it's always worked without fail on every pre-order I've done. Arrives on-time during the usual UPS delivery time in my area. In many cases, I chose Amazon over Gamestop because of this option due to more lucrative pre-order bonuses or massive price differences.

However, I also suggest that, if it's a game that you truly don't need to have on the release date AND the pre-order bonus isn't that great, wait another couple of days and Amazon usually slashes the price by $10-20 for a day or two.
