How can you not love Boller for what he has given us the last few years. A ring, c'mon we all still love Trent "All I wanna do is win" Dilfer.

Why are so many people hating this guy before really giving him a chance this year.

I've heard of people turning a new leaf for the better. But you guys convict before

finding out rather he's guilty or not. This year has'nt really got started and already

you guy's got him in the slumps. Let's see what he dose first and then inject you're opions.

*sigh* It's NOT a thread defending Boller.

It didn't even resemble a pro-Boller thread until the QB conversation/argument started again...but, I guess people didn't disappoint me in that regard, as well. <_<

Sorry, i know where you wanted this thread to go but once opinions on Boller get started its hard to stop.

To answer your question with a serious side, It would depend on how he took us to the SB. If he did it by winning games himself or If the defense won us games. If he had a drew brees type of year and shows he can be consistent game in game out without all the INterceptions. If he can be a game changer (positively). Then I would welcome him back.

If he just simply did "enough" and didn't raise his game up to the level of a top 5 qb...I would be the first one in line to push him off a cliff.

You gotta remember in college Boller was the man. He was the pro-typical Californian quarter back. He had swagger and confidence and was well liked. But once he got to the pro's and people weren't looking at him like he was the MAN anymore he started doubting himself and simply crumbled under pressure. If he could find a way to get his confidence back, which would take:

-the media hyping him up after a big game(positive press)

-players in the locker room believing in him

-earning a lot of respect

-several big time games

-and A lot of fans to cheer him on instead of booing him when he gets injured (haha)

Then maybe he would get his swagger back and start playing the way he knows he can play. But the odds of that cinderella story coming together are so high that you would probably have a better chance of jumping out of a plane with no parachute and some how manage to fly yourself to safety.

Its because we have been fans of the ravens, we have seen what hes done in the past. Its usually not good, so people want the ravens to try one of the other qbs on the roster, not run out the same inconsistant, unproductive qb we have for years (besides when mcnair was healthy)

If you can somehow find away to watch the latter part of the 2005 season, then it will explain it all.

How can i explain it in better terms of why people dont like him...

Lets say you have a dog and that dog s***s all over your carpet every day for 3 days straight. At this point you are highly annoyed and extremely pissed of at your dog. Finally, you come to your senses and decide enough's enough and you put that dog out side for the next 2 days. And during these 2 days it raining and it's cold, the weather is bad, he starts crying and everytime you look out the window he stares at you with that puppy dog look.

For a brief moment your anger goes away...you start to feel bad...and you forget all about how much that dogs*** stank up your house. So now you have a change of heart cuz you love your dog so much. You decide to give your dog one more chance, so you let him off the chain to come in for a bit and be with the family. And then, the first thing he does is runs to the middle of the living room, gets down into the 4 point squating/hovering position and Takes a HUGE, steamy pile of S*** in the same exact spot he threw it to last time, and the defender is standing right there AHHHHH!!! open your eyes you idiot... i mean on the carpet where you spent hours trying to remove the last s*** stain. And then....after he's done sh**ing all over the place.....he just stands there and looks up at you.

At that point, that feeling that you have, the feeling that comes over your entire body...I'm pretty sure that's the same exact feeling people have with Boller.

As entertaining as that is, I can answer you in a fitting way. The second that dog becomes house-trained, you will be glad you put with what is now a great pet.
