Greed. Maybe while not concentrating on football we'll all realize we are overworked and underpaid and want a part of the $1 billion they make in overpriced tickets and stadium food back into OUR pockets and not theirs......
No kidding. We paid for their stadium and continue to overpay for beer, etc.

the players are ridiculous, they want to see the financial statements of the owners, THEY ARE CALLED OWNERS FOR A REASON, without these owners they would be working on the streets, supermarket, car salesmen. and they think they have a right and the ability to go over the top and pretty much say they get what they want.. they make more money in a game than i would in a year just about!! and they complain complain, gimme, gimme, want, want. im so glad football is done with and i hope it is the rest of the season, NFL has become the biggest joke because of both greedy sides and players wanting the most money. its sad to see what our economy is like and players post on twitter, aww man how am i gonna pay for my bills, better start looking for a job!! screw them, im sick of it and i know alot of you are too..

NO more buying season tickets for me

good luck to the fans and i hope u find different hobbies to pursue on sundays and mondays
this will be my last post

take care every1

Ask Zibby to set up another boxing match.

I'd finance a boxing match between him and DeMaurice Smith, if he was willing to do it.

Here would be the one stipulation, If Zibby wins Smith is no longer working for the NFLPA.

I admire the passion but washing your hands of a sport because of a lockout makes no sense to me.

I think there will be an NFL season. Too much money to be lost if there isn't one.

In the mean time, March-June is some of the best time to be a sports fan.

March Madness, NHL playoffs, NBA playoffs, and MLB starting up again. And let's not forgot College Football is still around the corner too. As a sports fan, I'm pretty set.

Who's up for some Fantasy Football... College Edition! Got to get our Fantasy Fix somehow right?

I'm going to hope I get the # 1 Pick in every League and ride Andrew Luck to many Fantasy Football Championships! :wootwoot:

Wasn't it convenient for the NFL to extend the talks a week just to end up with the same result many were expecting. Especially considering the deadline for the first 50% payment for ticket renewal was this past Monday - March 7th.

Well they have my money and I have no guarantee there will be a product to view.

If it's not too much trouble, can I please have my wallet back now, (hopefully with a little something left in it).

Thanks!

Should we not have what is true professional football - the NFL - then I will devote more of my time to my writing, as well as losing some of this weight I've added on. My board games will also have some item to occupy me.

Got a sweet new job on some diamond drills with a company called Orbit Garant, one of the biggest drilling companies in the world. Making about 5 grand a run and I'm not even drilling, probably save up for a 2011 Ski Doo 800 ETEC Renegade and possibly a trip to Amsterdam. Working 28 days in a row is pretty tough, can't wait to go home tomorrow and enjoy my 2 weeks off. Going to go on a big party binge:)

This is why I've been a ghost on here lately, internet up at camp sucks, along with me putting in 336 hours in a month ha.

I really do hope they can sort this whole thing out. It will be heartbreaking if some of the greats of the game retire because of a year without football.

I might go on a holiday.

Folks,
Don't know about you. I love football. I'm a season ticket holder. I do 1 or more road trips a year. But I want it clear to the NFL and players, this will not work! It's a 9.5 billion dollar industry. At a time when folks are losing their jobs…Get your act together…No one wants to hear you can't figure out how to split 9.5 billion dollars. THIS WILL NOT BE TOLERANTED.

FANS, Let your voices be heard!!!

Take a note from Captain D.

the players need to remember the vendors and what not whos lively hood depends on events weekly , most stadiums employ between 4-10 thousand staff per week , even at minimum wage in most states for 8 hours of work your looking at massive cashflow . its not the players being hurt by this, its the Fans and the Stadium workers , Grounds crews and even dare I say it broadcasters that specialize in the sport . In rome when times were tough the Senate Said " Let Them Have Circuses" which meant open the Colleseums . This phrase has been used by many to take the populaces mind off and the romans normaly lowered fees to watch , instead the NFL did the oposite they Fleeced the people then tried tofleece thier gladiators(nfl players) . guess what folks now you get to see whats going on We been hearded to the slaughter by mr goodell and the nflpa combined . niether seem to care its all about them end of story!

I'm planning to not worry at all until they rule on the injunction stopping the league from locking out the players. That should take a month.

Sending DeMaurice Smith a new piece of hate mail every day until we have NFL again.
Or you can go to the Commencement address Smith is giving at the University of Maryland and protest him lol.

Oh how bout the news that the NFLPA is working on a boycott that will keep the top draftees away from the Draft.

(and mods feel free to move this somewhere else if this isn't the place...just had to drop it somewhere).

Seriously? Do they really think this will bother the NFL one iota?

Cry a little, scream a little, and strike angainst the NFL and the "High Profile" players. For the majority the extremely over paid superstars are just as greedy as the NFL itself. For the most part the rookies and the guys who love the sport just want to play. Until a deal is reached, not one cent of my money will go towards the NFL and their change purses. Even after a deal is reached I'm sure I will still be a little resentful.

Well said.

I'm not wearing any of my NFL items. I'm not picking sides. Just think it's crazy that these guys can figure out how to split 9.5 BILLION dollars!! I'm a die hard season ticket holder. This crazy "labor situation" has already put a kink in my football frenzy.

NFL...Players...don't blow a good thing. Are you listening???

Yeah, I feel as if I am the only guy in here that is disgusted with what is going on.
Now I know this site consists of die-hard fans.
But with everything that is going on in the world and these guys are squabbling over literally a couple thousand dollars when split evenly I am just completely turned off to the entire thing.
I mean guys...it is a sport- a sport. That's all.

Anyway, I walked by the Oher autograph session in Harrisburg Sunday and didn't even stop for a picture. My outlook on individual players has been skewed a bit.

I am a Ravens fan and pretty much no longer a fan of the individual players. Owners should be allowed to make a profit on their investment and it is none of the business of their employees (the players) to know how much they make.
