The Walking Dead

I know there's a movie thread, but since this is a TV show, I wanted to create a new topic. I saw it on AMC when it first aired and just got it on Blu Ray(was only $24) The only problem I had with this show was the one group set up camp by the forest and it does prove a bad decision. I understand the forest and lake provide a good source of protein by hunting animals and fishing and that's all fresh, but at some point, ya gotta stop and think "Maybe tents don't provide the best security in a zombie infested world." Other than that, I can't help but watch it because it gets very personal. Not to mention graphic. I don't want to go into detail because it might be disturbing to some, but there was one scene that even made me shudder.

Agreed. The show does have zombies in it, but it's more about the relationships between the characters than anything else. That's what made the first season so good and hopefully the second season can continue to build on it (and with a full slate of episodes this time around instead of just 7, there's no reason it shouldn't).

On a side note, AMC has some of the best shows on TV right now even including the premium cable channels (HBO, Showtime, etc.). Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, and there's that new show "The Killing" that looks like it could be pretty good when it comes out.

It is a very good show ..sad thing is that it is a short season for these type of shows. I really like "Sons of Anarchy" and just seems the season is over before it started.

Oh yeah I really want to see The Killing. Looks like it will be a good show. From what I heard The Walking Dead will have a full slate of episodes this next season. I also heard Breaking Bad's 1st season only had 7 episodes and then went on with 13 for seasons 2 and 3. I even heard there's rumors that Charlie Sheen could have a cameo LOL.

Yeah, Breaking Bad had only 7 episodes for season 1, but it has had 13 ever since. I'm not sure, but I think AMC does that on purpose to see how well a show is gonna do. Mad Men was an exception though because it started out with a full slate of episodes from the beginning.
