Turned 30 in 2003, had a great year in terms of TDs and rushing yards but after that he only played 19 games in the course of 4 seasons.

He was also running behind one of the best offensive lines at the time.

After a bit more research I found Thomas Jones, who had this best year statistically in 2009 at 31 years old. He was their main weapon on offense, getting the most carries by a fairly large margin in the league. (link)

The point is, most backs are done around the 30 mark. I don't see why Barber would be any different, I think taking 4 years off is more of a deterrent than an advantage when it comes to the RB position.

He was the most consistently successful RB against the Steelers in his career. To this day, I don't think anyone got after our defense like he did.

99% of folks seem to agree with you (not just fans). But IMHO, Tiki left at the top of his game and he never really got beat up despite being an NFL RB. You're probably right, but there's no question teams will be taking a look. It's not like he'd have to carry the load. If he could make a squad (which I think he can) I think he'd be a good fit for the Ravens.

I think he ends up a Bucc; they have a lot of young players that could use another veteran presence or two, they could use a 3rd down back to spell LeGarette Blount and I'm sure he'd be pretty happy to be on the same team as Ronde.

This is where I bash him. He is not the veteran presence needed on any team. He would have to be told from day one that it is not his team and any respect he gets will be earned and in the mean time to keep his mouth shut. By all accounts, he attributes nothing to a locker room and he is divisive.

See, with a team like the Ravens, I don't think he could make the mistake of thinking he has a voice. They are established. A young, up and coming team however..., fuggedaboutit

My biggest deal as a teammate how do you trust a guy who walks away mid season on you, then calls out his teammates and coach? Alot about sports is based on trust with your entire team, I wouldn't even bother talking to Tiki if he was on my team.

Screw his career, this is karma in full effect. Even his old teammates are putting him on blast, check out what Antonio Pierce had to say:
Tiki Barber the person, the leader, the person in that locker room, he's not going to do anything for your team. Now, if that's the guy you think you're bringing in, you might want to look another direction because from personal experience, he didn't do anything to help the Giants the last year. Especially in 2006 when he decided to retire in the middle of the season. And then months later, kind of questioned our quarterback and ... our head coach at the time, coach (Tom) Coughlin. That's my problem with Tiki Barber. The guy can play. Can he do it four years later? ... I don't think he can."
I would say karma bit his rear end when the Giants won the SB the year after he retired. But he does deserve another taste of it for leaving his pregnant wife and not sticking to his vows.
