Vikings decide to let Jackson go (as soon as the CBA thing is ironed out, it will be official)

With Favre out of the picture...Vikings are in a bit of a pinch in the QB position now.

Sounds like they will be hoping and praying that Gabbert or Newton are on the board when they pick.

Another QB needy team is only good though, as it means that there will be some more good prospects in our positions of need falling to us.

Doesn't this leave them with one Quarterback that they drafted to develop as a receiver?

They have a 3rd string guy that was a rookie last year. Not sure if they were looking to develop him as a receiver or not.

As someone said, could be a spot for Bulger. Or if the Bengals realize Palmer is serious about not playing there, might be a spot for him.

I'm going to think either Palmer or McNabb will wind up with the Vikings and the other goes to the NFC West.

This isn't surprising. Jackson is far from a quality starter, and I expected Minnesota to part with him long before.

PFT said that they were considering trading for Kyle Orton but backed off of that.
