Of the two, CM Punk is winning at life right now; he gets a nice paycheck from WWE, he's in the cushy main event tier on RAW, he's booked for a high-profile match at WrestleMania, he's dated half of the WWE Divas, he's been booked as a multi-time heavyweight champion, and he can pretty much do whatever he wants and his boss doesn't care.

Shawne Merriman's stuck on a hapless team because of limited prospects in free agency, and his career has been steadily on the decline. He'll probably be at home next year while Punk is dating yet another WWE Diva and seamlessly switching between doing commentary and wrestling on TV.

Wrestling is, effectively, acting. Punk aint too good at acting.

I'd take a one-legged Merriman over Punk any day (In a fight that is, Punk is probably a better football player).

Punk's a pretty decent actor, IMO, especially during his angle as the leader of the Straight Edge Society, playing an exaggerated take on Charles Manson. He's one of the best guys on the mic in the business today.
