Let Stalls go, we need to go young and remove the egos. Let Reed show his skills and draft Hankerson, he just run a 4.43 at the combine.

He also struggled in the gauntlet and 3-cone drill, which are more relevant drills.

Yeah but hes a big WR, straight line stuff is more of his forte. Not many 6'3" WRs will shine in those drills. On a different note I would definately shy away from Titus in the first 2 rounds he had a poor showing. Hes a slot WR imo...

This stupid CBA thing is getting on my nerves. Sidney Rice is a free agent and I wanna see how much he is looking for guaranteed. Still can't believe he is only 24

no offense.....but this is the type of mentality that keeps the "Old Guys" around way to long. what if the Rookie is on point and gets a grasp of the offense quickly and jells with Flacco early in training camp and then becomes a beast on the field in live games? why not think like that?

the Ravens hesitancy to pull the trigger on youth and then not allowing them to contribute is what keeps the offensive gameplay stunted. look at the Steelers rookie WR that was just str8 beastin during the playoffs. that was due to the fact that that organization gave him a chance. the Ravens must do the same!

While I'd agree to a point that the Ravens' organization tends to rely on its veterans way too much, I'm pretty certain that no creativity and predictable play calling is the MAIN reason our offense is stunted.

If we can keep Stallworth on the cheap I see no reason not to re-sign him. Of course, all this is a moot point if we still don't utilize our players to their strengths. For those hating on Mason, man, how quickly we forget. He does not have speed but the man is one of the best route runners around. Not to mention, he pretty much was our receiving corps for a few seasons. Sure they need to let him know that his role will be reduced some (which shouldn't be an issue since he has been talking retirement for years now) but...cut him if he doesn't retire? Harsh.

His route running gets him no separation against the better CBs. The good ones weren't even biting on his trademark curl and comeback as the season wore on. Yes, he moved the chains almost single-handedly for a while but that we're dealing with the here and now.

I'm not for cutting him if he doesn't retire but I worry he wouldn't accept a reduced role easily. He's blown up before about not getting looks. Who knows how he'd take having snaps decreased as well. I also worry the team won't even push for his role to be reduced out of loyalty, even though it's necessary.

Im a huge Donte' Stallworth fan, i've been rooting for him since the Saints drafted him in the first round. But watching him all these years its painfully obvious Stallworth has no potential to ever become a starter in this league. Besides his blazing fast speed, he really does have a ton of talent...thats why I'm a stallworth fan, but he is not durable enough to play in the NFL. He has never had a healthy season in his career, and thats something that will never change no matter how many teams he goes to.

With that said, if Stallworth wants to sign a really cheap deal, ideally he would be a great player to have on the depth chart when you stick in 3 or more receivers, however Cam Cameron is going to go with FBs, 2 TEs, HBs as receivers before he ever considers sticking in more WRs...so I don't think Stallworth (nor any WRs behind our 2 starters) will get much action (and this probably applies to any other WRs we want to bring in or draft). I wouldn't mind seeing Stallworth go to another team as a back up and see him catch some bombs...just so he could get some opportunities before his career is over...he is a pretty exciting player to watch when he is healthy.

I've said all along that we keep Stalls and Hous. We get Mase for prob 1 more year, we got Boldin
and Reed and we draft a Torrey Smith type receiver.
I think we will be well set w/ this type of youth and age and then we have the three headed TE
comin back next season.
Pick Da'Rell Scott up as an RB and you got a ball carrier and a receiver.
Both really shined at the Combine and both are going to be lower picks (Smith prob late 1st/mid 2d
and Scott prob mid 3d.
If the Ravens repeat their 1st rd decision this yr and get a high 2d pick, they could get added picks
AND a speedy WR.

That would be absolutely horrible. The team would be essentially be in the same position they were this past season, with youth being blocked by aging vets.

torrey smith sucks 10x more than DHB, and DHB shouldn't even be playing in the NFL.

Torrey Smith didnt impress me in the combine and it got me thinking, I wonder if a guy (like Smith) really wanted to go somewhere (like the Ravens) if he would purposefully underperform so that it would be easier for the team to pick him up. I know Stalls was working with him and probably has been reporting back to the FO about his talent and maybe if Stalls could tell Smith was good, maybe Smith purposefully underperformed (doubt it). If he wasnt underperforming on purpose then I think we should look elsewhere for a WR.

(Clearly I am not serious about purposefully underperforming)

Now you're just being unreasonable. Smith is a better receiver than Heyward-Bey. That said, I still don't want him as a Raven because I don't think he will pan out or is really that 'deep threat' than people are clamoring for.
