2011 Schedule

Obviously, we can count on playing Pittsburgh, Cinci and Cleveland (both home and away), but we'll also be playing-
HOME:
Jets, Texans, Cardinals, 49ers, Colts

AWAY:
Seahawks, Rams, Jaguars, Chargers (possibly Titans)

I think it will be another 12-4 season, maybe 13-3 or 14-2 (if we get REALLY lucky)
Thoughts?

What do you mean POSSIBLY Titans, lol. We do play them in Nashville.

Just quoting the website lol :) They said "possibly face Titans". And that is pretty funny, because everyone else says that we'll be back.

Based on what I've read in this thread, I hope the impending season turns out well - we have some good chances to have a very good season, and I am looking forward to it.

16 - 0. Kidding, kids.

13 - 3 to possibly 14 - 2, depending on the roster changes made or not made during the off-season. One of those losses being to the Colts & Steelers for sure.

Personally, I hope the Ravens stomp the Jets at home.

Why does the Niner game have to be at home. I wanted to buy tickets..... dang it.

But i must say, based on this schedule 16-0 is a very possible outcome. I ussually say that it is possible every offseason because I think we can match up against any team in the league, so its ussually a matter of luck, but in this case its very possible. Our hardest game is (like always) the one at Heinz field).

The way I see it we'll lost one of the Steelers games (most likely the one at Heinz), either the Jets or Colts game,, and one-two fluke games, which would give us a record of 12-4 or 13-3.

Taking a look at Pittsburgh's schedule, they also have a pretty favorable schedule. Since we both play the NFC West. Anyways, should be interesting how next season plays out. 13-3, 14-2 are definitely possible but who knows, we could end up tied for the division the way both of our schedules look.

You've got the Chargers and Seahawks (if you want to take a trip), too.

Can't really comment on how the schedule looks, now. Too early.

Beating up on the weaker teams never gets old, but if we don't win the big games in the regular season, we won't get a good seed (fairly obvious) if we make it (which I expect us to). So many monkeys on our back right now, and we better get em off!! :bye:

We better tell them to go bye bye, just like him.

I'm thinking the Indianapolis game is ugly, and over by halftime. I'm thinking that the 49ers game would be a whole lot more intriguing if Troy Smith ends up still being on the roster, and starts for them in that game. The game against the Rams could be pretty interesting if they end up re-signing Mark Clayton and he's healthy. Two former Ravens in Clayton and Jason Brown. And I have to see what the Ravens and Jets do with their rosters before I can make a call on that game.

Obviously, WHEN the Ravens play each game can make a difference too.

Yup... i could imagin some really brutal scenarios that would be terrible... Like:

Jets on Monday night, @Steelers the following week, and then the Colts come to town... That could easily mean 2 or 3 losses, right there...

The Steelers, Jets and Colts will be the only tough home games, while the Steelers and Chargers are the only tough away games. I like this schedule a lot! It really helps that we face the pathetic NFC West.

This schedule looks favorable b/c a lot of these teams had pretty bad seasons...last year. Maybe Harbaugh coaches the 49ers to a 12 win season. Sam Bradford had a great season so I don't see the Rams being a push over. We play the Seahawks at Qwest which is one of the leagues best home field advantages. At least we play the Colts and Jets at home!

It's a little early to judge the difficulty of this season.

Agreed....St.Louis should be a much improved team next year so do not look for it to be a cake walk.

Beating up on the weaker teams gets old in my book, when we can do that all day long and seem to always fall just a tad short to the teams we NEED to beat. You are absolutely right, and the Ravens need to clear that hurdle against the teams that matter.

I think this should be the year that we as the fans should really expect Joe to be able to make some serious strides. He will be going into his fouth season (obviously) with Cam (unfortunately IMO) but none the less he has been working with Cam since he was thrown into the fire his rookie season. By now he should know how Cam works and should be able to adjust to alot more things that he might see from defenses and so on and so forth. He has progressed every year so far and hopefully this season he will make it all gel together and show why he is Baltimores franchise QB.

Never forget about Houston, they are a very underrated Team, looking to be a playoff contender as well.

I don't know about everyone else but after that overtime game where Josh Wilson had to bail us out with a pick6 I'm definitely not underrating them, especially with their high draft position.

Yeah, the day counts to. If we play the Colts or Pitts the week after an "easy team", then we'll have the confidence to go in and come out with a win.

Battle of the Harbaughs here in Baltimore should be interesting.
True, and since it's here and we have the Home Field Advantage, John will hopefully come out with a win. (It's not the first time here in Baltimore we've had brothers battle, the Ryans did oakland vs. baltimore, and Baltimore came out with a win) :)
