Forum wise if you can say that, us definitely, we have a kick a (you know) community. Other than that, uhhh... I like the fins' fans and the bucs too.

I have to go with us Ravens fans. We've built a pretty darn good following in only a few years. Our fans travel very well, sometimes taking over opponent stadiums, and we sell out every home game. Look at the other teams closer to us in age: Jacksonville, Tennessee, and Carolina. Fan-wise, we've way out-distanced them.

Green Bay seems to have a great fans base; they travel well and until recently couldn't claim a large number of bandwagoneers. They also tend to be knowledgeable and friendly.

I don't think they travel as well as Steelers fans (nor does anyone else for that matter) though. It's a toss up, to me, between the two.

Bret Michaels is a Steelers fan so they lose automatically...

Michael Phelps is a Ravens fan, though, hmmm :P

So is Christy Swanson. She more than cancels out Brett. We WIN!

Oh, touche! You also have Snoop Dogg, so that's a plus, even if he was a 70s bandwagoner.

There need to be more Baltimore sitcoms, then we'd get more love. Btw, totally underrated commercial..

EDIT: Also, uncannily named commercial!

From personal experience, I'd have to say Packers fans. I went to the game at Lambeau last year and those were some of the nicest fans I've dealt with at an away game. These two guys next me told me that Ed Reed was their favorite non-Packers player. They were just as disappointed as I was when he wasn't suited up.

So was I. We were both kids then. We're long time members of Steeler Nation at this point.

Notice that's Steeler NATION. Not Raven township. B)

I'd like to give Kansas City and honorable mention for the tail-gate aspect. By all accounts, they are the kings of Tail gating.

Probably Steelers because there are so many of them, and they don't necessarily root for the Steelers.
I wouldn't call The Steelers Fans the best by any stretch of the word. The only plus of that fanbase is the sheer number of them.

Then maybe we should define "Best."

We are certainly one of the most recognized world wide.

I won't dispute that lol Steeler Nation is recognized, for better or for worse, nearly everywhere. Even by non-football fans.

Steelers are as old as dirt, so of course they're gonna have a huge fanbase and a huge following. They also got a worldwide bump when they sold the Steelers Super Bowl losing shirts over seas to poorer countries (I was reading on this forum one day that companies/organizations sell Super Bowl losing teams overseas.... correct me if I'm wrong on that)

Packers have the absolute best fan base... friendly, supportive, caring, knowledgeable, wear cheeseheads just to support their team... yep, there's no way the Pack lose this discussion..

From a tail-gate aspet I would give it to the Bills fans some of the stuff there I've seen on some NFL shows is awesome

When I think of best, I think of fans who are really pumped for their team but still have an edge of "fairness" towards the opposing teams fans - in which case I do NOT consider Steelers fans (no offense towards you) the best fans as I have had several difficulties with them, for instance being spit in the face without having provoked anyone

Maybe you missed the "and they don't necessarily root for the Steelers".

I was implying bandwagon fans. Which I love ;) .

Just out of interest which football team do you think has the greatest fans? I got to go with Green Bay and all the history with them.
Green Bay. They are the most knowledgeable, most historic team, and very, very friendly. Plus the fans own their team....

I think the worst fans are Steelers, Patriots and Cowboys for the most part because most of them are bandwagon and not only know nothing about the teams but know nothing about the game of football.

As for Ravens fans, I have been embarrassed to be associated with some of these fans at games. Guys pushing girls wearing Steeler uniforms, what does that prove? Plus most of them have no idea what they are talking about, "We should trade Joe Flacco for Kevin Kolb"...yeah, ive heard that before from a fan....

Most? I don't think so. We all have band wagon fans because we win, but don't think for a second they are the majority or represent us. They just happen to voice themselves more than the real fans do.

That's not representative of all our fans. Alexir just mentioned Ravens fans pulling immature crap like that as well.

I've seen both, most of the time the Ravens fans I've seen are good knowlegable fans that also respect the other team, but a few might as well be Philly fans and annoy the heck out of me because they obviously don't know what they are talking about

Agreed. I had a friend who was at the Divisional Round loss and said that despite the outcome of the game, it was one of their best football experiences.
