This is a little off-topic but, oh well. Remember back in the Billick-era when we were dreadful on the road? Good not to have that stigma, anymore.

It would be great to have at least a couple playoff games in a row at home for once but it is good to seem them win on the road.

Many teams that make it to the playoffs annually, do not return to the playoffs in the following season. Bleacher Report did a slideshow on all the teams that made the playoffs this year and what their chances are of making the playoffs again next year. (http://bleacherreport.com/articles/615351-nfl-breaking-down-each-2010-playoff-teams-chances-to-return-to-the-postseason#page/7).

In my opinion, we still have the core pieces to get back again, but what we do in the off-season and how the off-season negotiations pan out plays a lot into that. Franchise tags, salary caps both high and low, and free agency are all items that will affect the Ravens. Will our talent exceed our coaches abilities to utilize them again this year, or do the players and coaches step it up and take us all the way?

What are your thoughts?

The road to success next season will be getting past two major bumps in that road...Big Ben and Peyton Manning

hopefully...i think clevland and cincy will stay down at least one more year. I expect the steelers corners to be useless...and i expect the steelers WR core not to get it done.

greenbay is the only sure team IMO if aaron rodgers is healthy. i expect manning and brady to show there age on a tiger woods drop off opening it up for joe flacco. San Diego could be a problem with a motivated phillip rivers...

People point to their corners as a weakness seemingly every year but they find a way to get it done. As for their WR corps, as much as I hate to say it, it's in pretty good shape.

That would be sweet but I doubt it happens.

I see no reason the Ravens can't return to the play-offs. The coaches have to do better next season but the talent must improve as well. Whether they can seize the opportunity and win a Super Bowl is the biggest question.

agreed Ed!

it is not about can the Ravens get back to the playoffs anymore. they have prove themselves in that department the past 3 years. now, it is all about can they get to and win the Super Bowl.

Ummm... WHAT? That doesn't even make sense.

I say Yes, mainly because the nucleus will remain the same and we should be able to beat the same mediocre teams, like usual. 10-6/ 11-5 is likely the cut-off point for making the playoffs. I think our chances improve a bit more if the Lockout lingers, as we have a sound leadership team ( FO) and Veteran players that know whats expected of them, even if they're not under the thumb of the League.

Yes, we will make the playoffs, now that we have a QB we should make the playoffs most years. Why? For the simple fact that most teams don't have their franchise QB, we do. The defense should be better next year and hopefully the O-line as well.

If there is football this year, I'll keep the "Will we be back in the playoffs for the 4th straight year" as a low profile. I have low expectation for the Ravens this year than last year. However, I'll shout on top of my lung when we hit field against another team.

PS: I like when things come in as a positive surprise....
