No. Even if the Vikings don't re-sign Rice and he hits free agency, a good number of teams will be seeking his services and he's going to get paid very handsomely.

I definitely didn't see tagging Greenway coming. Either Minnesota is confident they can work something out with Rice, or they're not too concerned about losing him in Free Agency. It's not like they have anyone to throw the ball to him anyways. I'd say they're looking to go back to some old school football, suffocating defense and a dominating run game.

Good move by the Vikes. Greenway was a beast this past year and they can't let him go. Rice, eh...He had the good year when Favre was on fire. He was injured most of last year. But who knows what his production will be like go forward. I think he is a bit overrated.
